I love how they say they bought an Ak47 And likened it to buying a military weapon. Cuz a full auto ak can be bought on back page all the time??? And they call the AR15s military weapons as well... Again funny how the military has full auto and these I'm sure were all semi, especially for $750! Please tell me where I can get a full auto rifle for $750!! Jk, I really don't even want one but not the point!

Still No excuse for the sellers disregard for info and that's terrible, but it just further confuses the non gun savvy public into thinking a civilian AR15 or Sks or semi Ak is the same as what the military uses.

Saw a preview of the "Inside: Secret America" episode. One of the shops she goes into is CTR.

I am not liking the "military gun" references, specifically 1) the media using and even being able to use it as an argument, and 2) our accepting that "military guns" should not be allowed. The "need" for them is irrelevant...rights supercede need and are not up for debate. If the common infantry soldier has select-fire, then we, as US citizens should too. The 2nd Amendment not only protects our right to carry, but specifically alludes to it being BECAUSE of the military.

Now, if The People decide they don't want the public to be able to match force with the military (which really goes against one of the core principals of what America was intended to be), then we can do that, but it would require an amendment to the constitution.

Agree or disagree?

A select fire rifle is only useful in certain circumstances that don't happen very often. That's why Drill Sergeants instruct the use of semi auto only. Full auto rifles are to hard to control to be useful in combat under most circumstances. Larry Vickers says anything past about 15-20 yards you get better results with aimed rapid semi auto fire.

That being said the news program is going to use whatever evil sounding term they can think of to help promote their agenda. Never mind the facts show that most "crime guns" are stolen (around 50 percent) and the second largest percentage (around 40 percent) are acquired through straw purchasers such as family and friends. These numbers might have changed slightly since my last ATF conference but I doubt it.

That episode was pretty good. I had Jesse Torrez as a speaker in a criminal justice class not too long ago.

I know it's not the classified section, but I figured you guys on this thread would know better than most of the people I know. I'm looking for an eotech to put on my AR, preferably just a used 512. The only problem is people usually don't want to part with theirs or if they do, they want like $450+ for it. I'm tight on funds for this so I was hoping to find one for around $350ish. Anyone know anyone who's selling one of these?

If you have trouble finding one and need something soon, a good 'bang-for-the-buck' option is the Vortex Strikefire. Palmetto has them on sale for $130 after using coupon code "strike."

Aimpoint is a better choice in my opinion than an EOTech.

This video is of a torture test involving a Daniel Defense rifle with an Aimpoint. Really shows how tough the Aimpoint really is.

The commentary is hilarious. "I thought the rifle would break." Every time. I wouldn't be surprised if a Bushmaster passed the same tests.

Two parts that I think a Bushmaster would fail would be their non milspec receiver extension and the plastic handguards. Daniel Defense rails are very strong.

LIST OF TRAITORS

Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:
To uphold second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Here are the 46 senators that voted to give your rights to the U.N.
Baldwin (D-WI)
Baucus (D-MT)
Bennet (D-CO)
Blumenthal (D-CT)
Boxer (D-CA)
Brown (D-OH)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Cardin (D-MD)

Merkley (D-OR)
Mikulski (D-MD)
Murphy (D-CT)
Murray (D-WA)

People this needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take our guns. They need to lose the election. We have been betrayed.

I also own an M&P357C, Berretta PX4 compact & fullsize, Ruger 10/22, Mossberg 500, and an AR15.

Driving daily with my carry guns is no problem. Those bucket seats are mighty comfy, and the 938 is light enough that it's weight and bulk (what bulk?) don't interfere with my clutch manipulation. Good ankle holster (thank you, Galco).

And what shemoves said is bang-on correct. IMHO, gun-free zones ought to be renamed for honesty's sake into "Victim-rich environment." That's what they are. Because when a bad guy with a gun enters it, it's minutes until cops (with GUNS) come to clean up the mess. They only create victims, not survivors. I refuse to be a victim. I also refuse to be an instigator. If I end up shooting someone, it's because they left me no choice lest I or someone I cared about would die if I had not.
I'm as pro-gun as anyone else here, but assuming you don't work in some sort of capacity where carrying a gun is a necessity, isn't carrying two pieces plus extra ammo to go to work in an office a bit......extreme?

Kinda depends on where you work and what you do for a living.

Obviously, which is why I qualified my question the way that I did.

I was curious as this doesn't sound like a profession where carrying guns is the norm. Like I said, I'm only asking because CCW'ing two guns and extra ammo seems a bit extreme. I'm curious as to why someone would have to do that, assuming it wasn't necessitated by their job.
