I had a few PMs asking about our hood...figure I post up what we did.

Well we adapted a 2011 Shelby gt 500 hood vent into our Seibon hood. worked out very well....very cheap...nice air flow.

Back on Mr. Church's Dyno making more power earlier, and with less boost. Should be an awesome weekend @ RTA Round 4 Willow Springs.

We had a good deal of new issues at Willow Springs. Most were overcomed with hard work and dedication. Racing and development is a fun battle!!!

Issue 1. Low than zero oil pressure. Oil pump went down due to bad machining/shimming than damaged the piston inside.

Issue 2. no fuel pressure. One of the walbros in the tank died. We replaced it.

Issue 3. Knocking, hesitation. It was 105-110 degrees outside and track temps @ 165 degrees. Decreased the timing a tad and changed the spark plugs we were good to go.

Issue 4. Electrical failure. Car died while we had 6 car lengths over the K&N G35.

STi is in Nebraska right now. Cruising back to Chicago and prepping it up for all the local events, including but not limited to the GTA @ Autobahn later this year.

More updates soon.

Stroker Kit and pistons running strong? Or is the motor being torn down after each event?

Pistons, rods, stroker kit are all good. Very strong stuff.

We did tare apart the motor due to head gaskets twice, but never needed to tare down the bottom end. Compression and leakdown tests were done after every track day and stayed solid.

However this time around because of the oil pump being killed do to improper machining, we will rebuild since we had some shavings.

BC stroker kits are balanced and blueprinted...as long as you or machine shop knows what you are doing just bolt it right in.

mls Cometic every time since we need a custom size only they can make quickly. It seems that we might have had a dropped sleeve for some time that went unchecked, so I can't blame the gasket for going do to them being poorly made. Last time around they held up completely fine with higher torque and stronger studs with more power than we ever made before.

This looks like a fun project.

How much does this car weight?

What kind of oil pump are you running that you had to have machine work done?
