Thumbs up Newb question about turning off TGV codes after being protuned

I recently did the TGV delete mod on my car and now would like to turn off the codes that my car is throwing for them being gone (1096,1094 etc.) Is this something that I can do myself or am I looking at going back to my tuner and paying to have him switch off a couple codes? The car runs great and I don't really feel the need for another complete retune at this time since I have more mods coming soon....but the constant CEL is driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance for any help!

You should get it tuned just to account for the airflow changes made by deleting the TGVs. The code is secondary.

That's kind of what I thought....I was just hoping to wait until I do the other mods I have planned and in the mean time not have to stare at the CEL all the time!

You can download a copy of AccessTUNER Race and turn off the codes that way. Just open the map you want to use, turn the codes off, save the map and load it on to your car. It is as simple as that.

I was under the impression that Protuner maps were usually locked, so unless our tuners would care to give us an unlocked version of the map we cannot access it using Accesstuner Race.

Am I mistaken? Or were you speaking of using a base map?

Thanks for the info Cobb! I am going to fill out the form and download AccessTuner ASAP. I am interested in what aboothman said though.....if I have already been protuned will I be able to access my map?
