I have never seen any kind of 20g come close to this kind of performance. I was already shocked by the power it put out on 91 octane pump gas but the E85 power just floored me Spool is practically identical to a stock turbo car and the top end held on nicely as well. Nice to have over 420whp from 4500rpm all the way to redline! I honestly haven't tuned many cars on E85 since there are only 2 stations in the greater Los Angeles area, but since this customer lives only a couple miles away from one, this was a perfect opportunity. Compared to tuning on CA 91 octane, E85 is like cheating ![]()

The last time I saw a td06 20g on meth on a dynojet, it maxed out @ 420. Couldn't make more no matter what was thrwon at it. E85 is great, and by the looks of it the tune is spot on. Nonetheless, with all that lowend torque, as well as some monster power at redline, that motor is going to be screaming for life. Nice job SLGT! |

340-350 whp is about what I normally expect to see on 91 octane. This car made 353whp on the same setup but with an IWG. We added the EWG and it picked up to 377whp. Strong but not ridiculous. I fully expected to make about 420whp on E85 even with the strong 91 octane results because that's about all the airflow a 20g is supposed to have. Imagine my surprise when on my first pull on E85 with just 2 psi more boost and 3 degrees more timing it made 430whp ![]() I can't really explain what is allowing this car to make so much power. The setup is pretty conventional. I think a good chunk of it is the turbo. We should be stocking it soon since it was so impressive. |

for some reason, a 44lb/min turbo is making the same power as a 65lb/min turbo.

Completely stock motor? No pistons, head work, cams, or headers?
Also, what was the peak IDC on e85? Last edited by Fierysun; 01-15-2010 at 06:15 PM. |

So was this a td05 or td06? Very impressive numbers either way. I sure wish I had the room in my budget for a turbo upgrade this season.

I believe it!
how much boost are you running? This car will put down about 380-400whp airboy, which is impressive as hell! Can you post a log or an airboy road dyno sheet? This car similar to 08 Sti Kastley85891 with a 20G on E85 ![]() http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1861355 |

all of the top hp 20g's are TD05-20g 8cm. i'm assuming its similar and probably is putting down near 400/400 when the numbers are not SAE corrected..
what are the numbers uncorrected? |

no. i meant td05. its a common misconception that you need to slap a huge td06 wheel on the 20g to make power. |

i called them the other day to ask which compressor cover was on the HTA Green and the response was "pretty much whatever we have lying around" ![]() |
