Post Test Drove the New Impreza WRX in Japan!

Konnichiwa from Japan!

Went to the local Subaru dealer in Tokyo to check out the new WRX and took it out for a spin! There's no comparison to our 2.5RS. What a big difference 250 horses make. Too bad they didn't have the 280HP/6 speed STi version on the lot. Besides the power, I was most impressed with the seats...nice and snug with lots of support. I think my next upgrade will be to get a set of WRX seats.

Took a bunch of pictures too. I'll try to post them once I get back home.

Sayonara...

Cool

I don't think that there is a 6-speed version, but I envy you.

Right on Kalani!!! Pretty damm cool to hear you actually driving a REAL WRX!!! Must have been a blast. And yes they are coming out with a 6 speed WRX. So is it a totally new engine or the same as the last years? Try and find out about the new Mitsu Evo, if you can....Have fun!!!

Went back to the dealer today and they had a WRX STi in the lot...and yes it does come with a 6 speed (even took a picture of the shift knob for proof). Also got pictures of the engine too.

WRX555: Picked up some Impreza, Legacy and Forrester brochures for you. Didn't have time to check out the EVO tho. I fly home tomorrow.

I always wondered how the heck do you shift left handed, does the first to third go from right to left, or left to right???
