Default Cobb stg2...Just need an AP and dp right?

Do you need a full turboback or just the Accessport and a downpipe for Cobb stage 2. I'd like to keep the stock catback for stealth and dont care if I lose a few hp.

Looking at the invidia divorced catted.

Thanks

just a downpipe and ap will suffice for stage 2. i ran that setup for a bit. however, you should get an adapter for a 3" dp to stock catback so you dont have a nasty exhaust leak.

its not entirely needed but a turbo back wouldn't hurt...i helix catless dp and spt cat back and no problems.

eaither one of those setups would work for a stage 2. full turbo back or just DP is fine

I have my cobb 3" DP mated up to the stock wrx exhaust with no adapter. No problems. I think the stock exhaust is 2". Mated up just fine. Just make sure you buy new gaskets and spring loaded bolts. Those bolts rust out and there is nothing like having a replacement set when you snap those babies in half removing them!

Um . . . I'm pretty sure you need a downpipe for stage 2 buddy :

"Description: Stage 2 for 2006 WRX MT vehicles with STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM ONLY and a turbo-back exhaust system with high-flow catalytic
converter running 93 or 94 octane.
Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM ONLY, tested with a Cobb Tuning turbo-back exhaust system
with high-flow catalytic converter. An equivalent turbo-back exhaust
system could be used. If the turbo-back exhaust system relieves
back-pressure to an excessive point boost creep is possible. If a
lesser flowing turbo-back exhaust system is used then boost targets
may not be achievable. The addition of any other hardware may make
the vehicle perform poorly."

Don't reflash to stage 2 unless you have a downpipe installed. The catback is insufficient for this map. The exhaust needs to be either a turboback or a high flow downpipe mated to the stock catback.

All of this information is available in the map notes section on the cobb website:
http://cobbtuning.com/products/?id=4503

This one is free. The next time I am going to charge you for being lazy and not researching yourself.
