Default Goodbye to my GT and hello to my new RS...

RS4 that is.

On Thursday evening mr soul drove this away (sad to see it go, but happy that it seems to be in good hands!)

The previous Thursday this happened

Then on Tuesday

In Gearhart this weekend

2008 Audi RS4
Daytona Grey Pearl Effect
Titanium Package
Certified Pre-owned
25,xxx miles

This all happened because my great Uncle (99 y/o) passed away about a year ago and left me "any car I wanted". I'll be the first to admit that I'm incredibly fortunate to be in this situation and humble about the "status" of it all. As a small way of showing my gratitude, the custom plates will be dedicated to my great aunt and uncle...

It is an amazing car and can't wait to get more and more used to it! Only "mods" for now are to tint the windows and install clear bra. Maybe a short shifter too.

Holy mother of god. That car is how you say, off the chain!

Kidding aside, congrats on the new purchase. My gf wants a TTS and I'm trying to convince her into a S4 instead. If you aren't subie, go German lol.

thanks everyone.

I really like the Daytona Grey, and with the Titanium Package it looks sick. Can't wait to get the car down to Tommy's for some window tint!

Fair question: This is my daily driver. I need it to not only be reliable but also at least kind of practical. The GT-R is an amazing machine (from what I've read/seen) but to be honest, it just doesn't do it for me, plus the reliable part seems to be lacking. And if you mean a new Audi RS4, it is because they only brought the RS4 to the U.S. in 07-08, so a new one isn't an option.

Seriously considered the M3 sedans, which Edmund's Inside Line is absolutely in love with, but the lack of all wheel drive was a major consideration for me. Plus, only 2500 RS4's in the US makes it kind of cool.

Kind of a weird deal where I always look at the clock at 9:41, and when I was younger, I would listen to 94.1 FM while in bed, and then see the clock. Silly, but it has stuck...

Ah makes sense. I had no idea they stopped the RS4! What a shame!

I followed one on I-90 on Friday...I have to say the RS4 is one of the best looking sedans I have ever seen.

I'm not going to lie, Audi and reliability makes me laugh. That's too bad because I have always liked them. Has Audi improved their reliability with recent models?

I've had close friends with horrible experiences with Audis.

Gorgeous car, hopefully it's reliable as well!!

If that car was for sale by a dealer and was CPO I absolutely would have. But as it is, that car has decently high mileage and no extended warranty. It has been for sale for quite awhile and the Ibis white is gorgeous. Just wasn't willing to go that route...

Seems from what I've read that the RS4's are pretty reliable. I "think" a lot of the stories about Audi's reliability are older cars, but I guess I'll find out for sure soon enough.

Compared with the long term GT-R that Edmunds had, I think it is safe to say that the Nissan is NOT too reliable.
