Just got tuned by Jon at HB speed this afternoon. All the guys were way nice and they had a bunch of sweet cars all over the shop to drool over while I was waiting for my car to get tuned. Well anyways, the car pulls alot harder when compaired to my previous stage II tune (250whp/325wtq) Here are the mods.

VF39
Spearco TMIC
Bellmouth Catless Downpipe
3 inch tanabe exhaust
SPT intake
Walbro 255
Cobb Accessport v2

Sorry for the crappy phone picture but it's the best I can do for now. 303whp/355wtq!

Yea Jon tuned my car and first time at the track @ 3300ft and 85* went 11.3 @ 123.. Friend of mine also tuned by him went 127mph on same turbo with 15 less whp on same dyno, both on stock motor to boot.. I need to go in for a retune for my new motor since its finally broken in!

I'm on the stock pill currently and have overboosted once in 5th gear at around 2k rpm when I put my foot into it. I'm probably going to drill out the restrictor pill.

Don't do that. Your car hates it's when you do that. It's screaming, "That's why you have gears, change one mother****er!"

Further proof that the VF39 belongs on the 2.5. So cheap and easy to do.

I've thought about stepping up to an HTA68 or an 18g, but it's 2 grand more for not a lot more ponies.

So you're peaking at about 20 psi and tapering to 14 at redline?

NICE numbers! it makes me wish i had a 2.5L... i had a similar setup (smaller sti IC, catted DP) on a 2.0L and pulled 290HP/275lbs-ft.... jealous.

EDIT: no AFR?

I'm not the OP, but I bought mine for 400.00 cash. I highly recommend finding a local pickup, as I was able to inspect mine before I handed over the money.

It's target is 20 pounds, on the stock wrx pill, bought the vf39 from a member on the forums here for 400 bones, and I'm actually still using a trimmed stock wrx spliter with my spearco. It's been pouring rain all over california, so I can't wait for this rain to let up, then I can really feel what this thing will do. So far it's alot of fun, it pulls noticably harder than my tdo4 did up top, it's actually rewarding taking it to redline. Car will actually move out even with 4 people inside!

I got my vf 39 and sti tmic with 3k miles for $355 picked up. Just about the most amazing deal ever. It was 100% perfect, no shaft play, like 2 bent fins.

good luck. You might be fine, but there could be damage other than the obvious.
