Default 07 Sti: Which Catted Downpipe Is Best For a Protune?

Like the title says. Here is my projected setup:

Cobb AP
Headers
Uppipe
Invidia Race Catback
Spt Short Ram Intake w/ Heatshield
Walbro Fuel Pump
NGK 1 Step Colder Plugs

Here is some research i have read so far. I was going to with a Helix catted downpipe but i read that the placement of the cat wasnt ideal and would choke up the car quite a bit while tuning because the cat is so close to the turbo. I also read that the downpipe might sound a bit raspy like a civic in higher RPMS and i do not want that sound, but i still get mixed reviews. With a Cobb Catted Downpipe, i read that the placement of the cat was more ideal because it was towards the end of the downpipe and would produce better results. Also read that the Cobb had more of a deep sound to it but i still got mixed reviews. But I am not limiting my self to only those two, but those are the only two i have read up on, so maybe an invidia catted downpipe?

So with your experiences, which catted downpipe out there will produce better results with my setup on my 07 sti? And which catted downpipe has that nice deep subaru sound all the way through from low rpms to high rpms? So Im not worried how loud my car can be, i just want my car to sound like a subaru and not a civic. Thanks in advance.

Any catted dp is good enough for inspection purpose, environment, and you're not going to lose significant hp over it. You will just be spending unecessary money. Your vf43 turbo has the potential to make close to 300awhp.

The dp will magnify the rumble but the header will be the thing that changes the sound of your car to a civic completely. To keep the rumble sound and achieve header like performance, get the grimmspeed pnp exhaust manifold and crosspipe instead.

The Invidia Race will be too loud.I know because I use to have them. The cops will be on your tail especially when you're living in Cali.

Get the Surewin ebay exhaust. Its a Cobb replica, and better in that its 3" all the way. Not too loud. Gives out a deep rumble.

You dont need an uppipe. Instead use that money and get an aftermarket turbo inlet.

By the way, save your old exhaust parts incase you need to swap it back for inspection just because you're a Californian.

K thanks for your help, but i already headers, uppipe, and the intake on my car with the spt catback and it sounds pretty nice but not sure about getting an ebay brand exhaust though. I dont really trust ebay stuff. But is the invidia race really that loud? aslong as it has a nice rumble to it, then i will be happy and not having the resonator will help it not be too restrictive during a tune. But correct me if im wrong, you said the invidia is not 3" all the way?

But i hear different stories about catted downpipes so i just want to clear things up. I am spending money for the protune so i just want to make sure to get the best results the first time and be happy with it.
