Default DD as your track car?

Hello all, How many of you have your Daily driver as your track car? I plan to take my subie on the track 5 or 6 times a year and I wonder if I should still DD her or not. I love driving her around and would be a shame to have her sit in a garage until track day. Just wondering what you guys do.

I have quite a few friends around here that Own only their WRX/STI's and track them once in a while.. from AutoX,Drag, and full track days at like Road Atlanta.

Something will happen on the track I guarantee it. I would get a separate DD if I were you.

Just be careful and realize there are always risks involved. Track day + crashed car = no insurance $ and no car.

That being said, tons of people DD and track there cars to an extent. Depending on what your definition of "track" is, will decide the prep needed. Have fun and be safe.

why would it have to stay in the garage until track day? but yeah i agree have a "DD" ready or a backup plan in case breaking at the track would put you in a real jam.
