i really wanted to go last year, but alot of people on here said alot of bad things about it. Unless more people say more positive things than negative this time around, im out as well.

I asked if there will be a subaru class.
He kinda gave me some crap about kias and hyundais getting mad if we have our own class..
I think cliff needs to see more subarus to make a class of our own.

I like to go b/c I like hanging out with buddies.
If you would like to come and attend 02htownwrx, then you are more than welcome to go and show. There is a test and tune portion of the event. You can race as much as your heart desires.

I'll be there!

I'd like to do both, show and race, but last weekends SA event they only let me do one or the other. And after seeing FIC and Davenow only get two runs in Test & Tune, I'll probably stick with what I know.

Maybe do a Friday night race thing soon?

Thank you for the invite. I will swing by and say hi. That is great we are not like Honda guys. Those guys are there to show and after the event they'll start racing (speeding might be the correct word) down the street and the highway home. I just do not understand why they didn't run their car there at the track where its safe place to do so.

I spoke with him also Harley...I told him I'll let him know a week before the show how many subaru's we get here...He said if we have enough we should be able to get our own class...he did tell me the same thing about kias and hyundais...

i'll be in dallas for the awdtuning grand opening. i wont have my car back until then anyway, as its gettinng worked on now.
thats pretty upsetting to know that they place us in the same category as the hyundais/kias...yet they'll have a "best domestic with import mods" class. lol i havent put in enough ass kissing face time this year to gain the all important political points needed for this show.
judging is freaking horrendous!

Judging is not horrible at IFO. There isnt a suby class mostly because subies are infamous for not showing. if we would show more theyd give us a class. I'll be showing as usual anyway. Judging is a persons opinion and how well you can sell your car to the judge. There is a system and guideline to it but in the end its the judge's perception on how well you pull off various aspects of the car. For example 2 years ago when my Civic was just starting out I had a little of everything in each catagory or aspect and won beating a car that was allllll out race. Why? because I scored points where he didnt and therefore my average was better. some people dont understand exactly how judging works.

my car gets judged completely differently at the various shows i go to. its just the way it is. IFO has one formula, HIN another, Heatwave another & mean streets another. While its interesting to see what is valued higher from one show to the next what really blows me away is the classification system from show to show. at heatwave i was given the option of being in stock or mild. i just laughed and couldn't believe how they figured. turns out body mods (of which i have almost none) are quite the big deal in the truck world so my car honestly qualified for stock/street. go figure.

that being said i still haven't lost my class at any of the above shows. gotta cover all those bases one way or the other.
