Attempted my first datalog today, had the access port ready to log, pushed the button to start logging and did a 3rd gear pull to 6500 rpm. I then shifted to 4th and let the car slow down, then pushed the button to stop logging. When I downloaded the log, it only shows 3 seconds worth of data. Am I missing something?

There are several different reasons why this happens. The first is that your AccessPORT may be physically losing connection, even though it is still plugged into the port. You can unclip the port from the dash and then tape/rubber band, the dongle to the OBD port.

The second issue can be electronic noise. You can get barrel magnets from radio shack that will cancel noise from the cable that can cause connectivity issues.

If this does not work, you have updated your AccessPORT etc, then we can try replacing the dongle. I take it this is a dongle-style AccessPORT with the silver and red OBDII port?
