Default Spotted..red WRX...need info

Either Monday or Tuesday, I spotted a red WRX in NYC, on Centre St. following a white DSM. WRX had the stock rear spoiler sitting atop what appeared to be carbon fiber extensions. If your out there...I'm curious about your headlights, and/or bulbs. Are they HID?

Between 9 and 10:30 PM. Somewhere around Canal. This car I saw lit up the whole rear end of the DSM from the ground up to the top of the rear lid. Also, very, very white. Have you changed your lighting in any way?

They definitely appeared to throw out a lot of light.

I'd appreciate it if you could answer some questions...

1) How is the patterning on the ground...Any better than the original lighting? Or is it just more light shining everywhere, including other driver's eyes? I find that with my stockers, I have a black hole I'm always driving into, at any speed greater than about 30 mph.

2) Any problems with blinding oncoming drivers? Do people flash you?

3) Did you have to aim your lights any lower than when you had the stock bulbs?

4) Any issues with the high beam indicator on the dash?

5) Were they plug-n-play, or did you need to make adaptors, or cut wires?

6) Where did you get them, and for how much (if you don't mind answering ) ?

7) What is your plan, come annual inspection time, seeing that you cannot flip on high beams when asked to do so? Did you use any type of quick change connectors that will allow you to swap the stockers back in?

8) If you were to do it again, would you do anything different, i.e. get different temp bulbs, or a different brand, or maybe buy STI or projector type lamps?

9) Your fogs looked pretty bright white too. I've read all these posts about even the whitest bulbs still leaving you with that "yellow look" supposedly due to the spread of the reflector. How did you get the fogs so bright white?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

1) Light is 4Xbrighter, longer & 2xwider (almost like foglight). last week I take I95 to boston and stop by Foxwood @midnight .
I can drive & see road clear ~90@highway 50@town street ( no light area).

2) I never get flash but you'll blind if you stop behind a old town car with big silver metal bumber

3) just need to aim little bit lower stock bulbs?

4) Yes, when fog is on?

5) they are plug-n-play.

6) http://store.i-club.com/ $524.99 ( $50 coupon ordered b4 July 31). I-club also send me some Vinyl Decal.

7) You can put your stock blub back in 30 min. I'm thinking to get pair of spot beam light and conect to Highbeam conector.
Ask around those street racer, there is always a place can get you pa$$ it (highbeam is not a big deal at all compare to 500HP turbo and NOS)

8) McCulloch H.I.D. is JDM Subaru auxiliary equipment.
I'll get JDM non HID projector light If price drop ~$500 , $800 is too much for a Headlight.

9) I use PIAA X-treme White in fog. I think you will like PIAA Super Plasma its closer to BMW HID, but $30 more ($110) so I didn't get those. b4 i have Hyper Ind. 9007 blub($40) its very white very close to HID but it blow in a month. PIAA is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I'll try to get some pic to night

May WRX Be With You
