OK READ THROUGH THOROUGHLY!!
Used set of helix DNA coilovers. I do not know the miles and I am AT LEAST the third owner. 2 of the coilovers (1 front and 1 rear) have a ring that is siezed. The other two work perfectly. the ride height is still adjustable just not the way that the instructions tell you too. However I believe with a lot of time (which i have none) you can unsieze the ring with some chemical lubricants. I only have one wrench. You can order on off ebay or if you are thrifty you could probably even make one. One of the previous owners really beat up on the rings. It almost looks as though they lost the wrench and used a pipe wrench in its place. I'm pretty sure you can get the replacement rings online somewhere but I don't think you will need too. Where? I don't know. Probably from Helix. Any way I want to get rid of these, cheap. I'm being as honest as I possibly can. They were on my car for two weeks. The fiance hated the ride. I didn't care. I have had coilovers before so I knew what to expect. Anyhow they fit 02-07 WRX and I think only the 04 Sti but don't quote me on that. Shoot me offers. I want enough money to put towards some KYB wagon struts. Here is how my wagon looked with them on. ![]() ![]() ![]() it looked awesome. they rode like coilovers. here are some pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Shoot me offers. I will ship to the lower 48 states at buyers expense. Read the description and ask questions before you buy. thanks -Dan

I have the same coilovers with only 15k on them (I bought them new) and the height adjustment rings siezed on mine also. They're great coilovers for the money but you need to coat them before installing them so that they don't corrode/sieze. It's aluminum on steel, it happens. You can go to an auto store and pick up a bucket of ATF (automatic transmission fluid) for $40 or so and let them soak in that for a while. It should do the trick. If not, you could always use a torch to heat them up a bit but don't let them get too hot because it's compressed gas in there.
Good luck with the sale. |
