Long story somewhat short:
I'm putting on an 05 STi intake manifold (PnP) onto my 07 WRX as well as PnP TB, PnP and deleted TGV's and phenolic spacers. I know the STi intake manifold will fit onto the top feed WRX TGV's and I know that some lines and hoses might be out of place but will work. I'm also using my WRX engine wiring harness (that connects the injectors, TGV motors and sensors and throttle body) with the STi intake manifold, instead of using the STi engine wiring harness that I have So I have the engine wiring harness from an 05 STi (that connects the injectors, TGV motors and sensors and throttle body), it has these plastic wire cradles on the harness to attach the STi harness to the STi intake manifold and a metal bracket (on the passenger side) that attaches to the STi intake manifold for what looks like attaching the coolant tank to (not positive though). The Question: Since I'm using the STi intake manifold on my WRX I know to use the harness from my WRX but do I need to take the plastic wire cradles and metal bracket off of the STi harness that I have and attach them to the WRX harness on my car so that it will properly fit onto the STi intake manifold that I plan to put on my car? Thanks.

On another note, also...
Since I'm also reusing the top feed fuel rails from my WRX. It bolts to the bottom of the intake manifold to secure it with like 2 or 3 mounting points. Does anyone know if the WRX fuel rails have the same bolt pattern to bolt up to the bottom of the STi intake manifold? Bump for some help please...anyone??? |
