Default New Owner and first AutoCross!

Hey everyone!

I bought my first Subaru (and first fast car) half a year ago, and I'm loving it!

It's a Subaru WRX 2016 Limited, at about 6000 miles on it and just had my first service. In 2 weeks I plan on attending my first Autocross event with some friends and I am honestly a complete newb to this.

Do you guys have any tips for my first autocross?

Thanks and I'm glad to be a part of Team Subie!

Get an instructor with you for every run.

Get as many rides as possible with instructors during their runs.

Seat time is EVERYTHING in autocross. Someone with a bazillion horsepower, autox rubber, welded shocked car newbie will be absolutely OWNED by an instructor in a stock Honda Fit with a stuck-on ebrake.

I figured Jack would see the words "autocross" and "first" and begin salivating.

Take his advice, OP. He's been there, done that.

Take the insurance if they offer it. If not, come up with an appropriate story for your insurance company, just in case.

Just Kidding......Kind of....
