Default Does the AP Identify the ECU's model year? URGENT HELP NEEDED!

I'm finally hooking up my AP after 7 months of swapping. When I married it to the vehicle it said it was an 05' wrx, but the whole swap is from an 04' ( I know for sure because i pulled the parts from the car myself). I didn't think much of it, but when I went into the house to load my break-in map from Surgeline, it wouldn't load to the AP because it said it couldn't load an 04' map to an 05' car.

I told Surgeline it was an 04' when I requested the break-in map because it was in fact an 04' car.

So my question is if I need to have Surgeline name the file 05' so it will load to the AP, or is there a way to unmarry the AP and remarry it and tell it the car is an 04'? Or, does the ECU have that info built into it so theres no way to tell the AP otherwise?

I just want to start it tonight because I have been working on it 12 hrs today to hear it fire off for the first time in 7 months!!!!

Please help!!!!!!!!

Well I just got off the phone with Surgeline and they say they have to write a new file/map

I was so excited to fire it up last night and it was a no go. The good news is the guys at Surgeline are easy to work with and they will have a new map to me by the end of the day. I should be able to get it fired up tonight!!!!!!

Thanks Cobb Tuning/Surgeline!!!!!
