Default Break-in tune: 2.5L 9:1 CR EJ257 + GT35R = 430whp @ 15-16psi

Other Modifications: weight reduction, no a/c

This is the break-in tune for my new built motor. The motor was built @ Turbotrix and installed at The Shop. Special thanks to Jimmy and Junior and everybody else at The Shop for the awesome work! We battled gremlins all afternoon... broken tial WG, ran out of gas, dead battery, broken test mode wires, and I broke junior's tactrix cable but at the end of the day everything was perfect.

The car drives like a dream! The higher CR from the D25 heads is very noticable, and the ID2000 injectors drive almost like stock. I'm halfway home (driving 700 miles from CT to SC) and it's been getting 22-23mpg

The car will be retuned with more boost and maybe some E85/AEM goodness at the end of february.

I don't think Jay has much to prove, he already goes 11.0 on pumpgas and 10.7s on race.. Those runs were far from optimal as well.
Jay dont foret the 40% IDC with the id2000s
Jay just sent me this pic, on drag radials... lol.. he is dead

Looking good! E85 in future with those big injectors? That pic looks dangerous for drag radials ...

With the AEM and new motor, I really think Jay will go 10.2s-10.3s@135-137mph
Then I think he is going to be upgrading the old perrin 35r to something new

I made it home to SC in one piece. Drag radial's snow handling capabilities are underrated!

You should make a pass on that power level and see what it runs.. How far is the rock from you?

I thought his new set-up was real close to his old set-up except for the injectors,if so he might be able to go 10.50's at full power at 135-136 unless he took out a lot more weight.

The heads are better on the new motor. The old heads were B25's with some porting work in the valve bowls. The new heads are hogged out D25's. And with the new heads (and Manley 8.5:1 pistons) the static CR raised from 8.2 to 9:1. The higher CR is awesome!

It is close, but I think the new heads and head work will pick up power over his last setup. He also has a little more compression to boot. Over all I think it will have a better power band in general which is going to pick up some MPH... Especially the 500rpms of spool I can pick up with the AEM controlling the AVCS. Plus remember the old setup never made a clean pass, it was not hitting target boost by a few psi because of blown header/uppipe gaskets.
