The TR Sedan was a new model in 06.
The only thing that im missing is the Cup holder next to the ac vents, My bro's 02 wrx has it but it doesn't have the rear cup holders.

Do you know if i was to replace the center console to have the cup holder, would i have any difficulties with the ac vents being larger or smaller?

This is a very good point. However, when the iPad is removed, there is no reason to even break in.

I use a removable netbook mount in my Cobra. The tech inspector at the strip wasn't very happy with me having it in the car.. So it had to be removed. It's also nice to be able to take it out when you plan on having more than just yourself in the car... But then you lose the appeal of having something mounted in the dashboard.

That's already available. Search for "RAM iPad Mount." I don't like clutter and greatly prefer the OEM feel of an integrated solution. What you get with the RAM mount is an iPad in a pretty odd location with wires extending everywhere. What you get with the STiPad bezel is a low profile, OEM location, dockable/removable solution plugged right into your stereo system with no wires exposed.

So has anyone else here gotten the AT&T tethering "nastygram"? I got both an email and a text threatening to move my unlimited data plan to a 4GB Pro Plan (with tethering) without my approval. The plan would be more expensive by $20 and would cap my data at 4GB with extra GB's costing $10 each. I was averaging somewhere around 5-6 GB per month. Now I'm under 2GB since I don't use the iPad as much.

The question is: Can AT&T tell if you are tethering or are they just looking at data usage?

If they can, is there any way to "spoof" the connection so tethering won't be detectable?

If they can't, what's the advice? Just keep tethering and try to use less data?

Very helpful! Thanks. Now to investigate whether there is a tethering app that uses the iPhone's APN to pass data rather than the easily trackable alternate APN.

Thanks for the link neomac.

I haven't received the hate text (yet) and consistently use 3-4.5 GB/month. My understanding was that they'll auto upgrade you if you don't reply. So, reply saying that you're happy with your current unlimited data plan and continue on your ways.

The dash just isn't big enough for horizontal mode...

Made a small modification to my installation today. The airflow from the small side vents in the new bezel was just not cutting it so I extended the air ducts out.

Using a piece of thin foam made to line toolbox drawers, I cut two pieces 14" x 3". I wrapped the pieces around the outside of the stock air ducts to get the rough size for the tubes, removed to square them up and stapled them in their overlap. I then installed back over the outlets and let them stick out far enough to just touch the back of the bezel which I then reinstalled.

The airflow went up BIG time so I got what I was looking for.

That sounds easy and really effective... might give that a go. If you've got the time/desire, could you post up pics or even dimensions of the cut pieces?

14" x 3" like in my post. There's really nothing to show. Just form the tubes around the outlets, square them up and staple them. When you slip them back over the outlets you're done.

Good idea. I'll probably do that to mine whenever it arrives. Texas heat is starting already. Now IF the bezel would arrive soon, that would be great...

My face grows larger by the day. I'm out a lot of money and haven't received product yet. Based on them, we were slated to enter production on January 6th. Yep, 6 months ago. I can't express how upset I am with this company, but I'd rather not get too far into my relationship with them on a public forum, ya know?

I think you missed a lot of this thread .

One of the great parts about this solution is that the software either is already written or is being submitted to the app store by various people every day. I use the built in iPod app for music, along with the TuneIn Radio, Pandora, and Last.fm applications. I get navigation/GPS through the Navigon application. I get engine diagnostics and virtual gauges with the Rev application.
