Arrow JDM swap 1/4 times just in:13.5@103.5 and 13.4@102.4

First off, props to Rallispec for an excellent job on my EJ20 engine and driveline swap. I've already done 6k miles on it, since it was finished on April 2nd. Last week it dyno'd at 235.7 hp and 226.6 ft-lbs. Ran it at the local 1/4 strip (Atco Raceway, http://www.atcorace.com/). I went thursday night and friday night, and spanked some V8's, although I was a little dissapointed at my ET's, I was trying to be gentle on the launch and shifts, so the car probably has more room for improvement if I abuse it, which I'm not about to do. Thursday was nice, cold weather. Tonight was hot. (Maybe that's why I trapped lower on more boost!)

Thursday night, both runs at 15 psi:

I scorched a Mustang:
R/T: .282 (oops!)
60': 2.215
330: 6.008
1/8: 9.015@82.47
990: 11.569
1/4: 13.843@103.16

followed that up with an LT1 spanking:
R/T: .630
60': 2.080
330: 5.786
1/8: 8.770@82.85
990: 11.320
1/4: 13.581@103.50

Friday night I ran 17.5 psi, and ate a Cobra Mustang.
R/T: .474
60': 1.854
330: 5.518
1/8: 8.533@81.83
990: 11.112
1/4: 13.400@102.49

Incidentally, I also set my KYB's to the stiffest setting for Friday night, but I suspect the warm weather is what slowed my trap.

Mods (car was originally a '94 L AWD):
'94 jspec WRX wagon engine and driveline
3" Rallispec Stainless turbo back (MagnaFlow muffler)
ported TD05-16G turbo
Apex'i Power FC ecu
Apex'i AVC-R
Supra TT fuel pump
Cobb Lightened Flywheel
ACT clutch

For a complete list of mods: http://www.subarureview.com/bio.php?name=annointed

I heard that peeps in the stands were arguing whether my car was stock or not! The beauty of a sleeper

And, of course, a pic for the curious:

Those are some good times man! Post those numbers over in AFI.

A buddy of mine just finished his Legacy B4 swap into a MY 1996 Impreza L. Started out as a 1.8L, now its a sick Jap. Spec 2.0L turbo vehicle, and no one would ever know.

Funny thing is, he's running the 1.8L ECU in that beast.

Good Job!

Nice runs... especially considering some of your 60' times . Just curious though do you know how much your car weighs as it sits now?

Thanks

Yeah, my 60 ft times reflect my love for my car, and fear of breaking a daily driver for something as stupid as drag racing The true power of the car is evident from its traps, not the ET's I ran, obviously.

My car weighs somewhere between 2700-2800 lbs, as best I can estimate. I really want to take it to a weighing station someday!

Thumbs up Easy room for improvment

Cool car and good times!

You can get even better times w/o abusing the car just by letting it cool. On your friday night run, you increased boost by 2.5 psi, dropped your 60', and got a lower mph than your slower runs. My guess is that the car was heat soaked. Next time, let the car cool off a lot more before running, and you should get an even better time

Wow, nice times.

I think with that mph you could do low 13's (13.1) with a fast 60'. But I hear you on not wanting to break your car.

Looks good also.

I admire your attitude towards your car. I wish my trap speed was that high for a 13 second run.

Great time. It's good to hear other times.
Our USDM EJ20 RS swap ran 13.4 at sears point on Tuesday (mods: FP turbo and AVCR) with a terrible head wind. go figure.
Keep it up.

What did it trap at? How much boost were you running? Those FP turbos are no joke...huge bang for the buck.

I ran a 13.3 and I barely broke 100mph. With those trap speeds I think you may even be capable of a 12.9 if you beat on it bad.
