Default Can 09 G37s w/o factory nav be outfitted with factory nav??

I am purchasing an 09 G37s sedan w/o the Nav package and want to put it in the car. Can this be done? And if so how much am I looking at costwise?"

I've seen an option of going with the Garmin Black box and wiring it to my screen along with a backup camera, the only downside is you cannot listen to Radio/Sat/Cd while using GPS on screen you can use ipod.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Also I am going to be looking for a body kit for this car any good sources??

Do you for sure want OEM? Cause, its going to be very expensive.

I'm not trying to NOT be helpful here, but you know this is as Subaru forum, right?
More than likely there aren't going to be many of us that have any experience with 09 G37's yet...You really might have better luck on an Infinity/G forum

its going to be insanely expensive, the "head unit" alone will be over $2,000 then you will need the 2nd harness, & who knows what else... Obviously you won't be installing it yourself, since you asked this in a Subaru forum, so figure labor will be whatever the installer thinks he can get out of you.

there are HUNDREDS of great aftermarket Double DIn/DVD/Nav units on the market which will blow the OE stuff away. & you can upgrade speakers & at least a great 5ch amp & a sub for $2,000...

I agree on the pricing, I disagree on the aftermarket units unless they will work with the steering wheel controls, integrated bluetooth, climate control, additional controls on the dash etc. Now I have not done a search but the aftermarket head units would have to be pretty feature packed to be able to integrate with all of the infitini systems.

If navigation means that much to you, then find a car with one and either save, borrow or finance the added cost of navigation. Or if you get a smokin' deal on a car without one, buy a stick-on GPS unit and be happy.

Just looking at the complication and integration of the Infiniti navigation unit, what on earth would make you think it's a good idea to add all of that in yourself?

Why on earth would you want to? I've been around nav since my first Alpine aftermarket system in '98 (NVAN751AS) and here's what your question implies:

1. Texa$$$
2. Legacy system that's out of date from the moment it's installed and will look cheap and low res in 3-5 years when you want to sell the car.
3. Portable/handhelds are MUCH cheaper and easier, plus portable.
4. ???
5. Profit.

Conclusion: You'd spend as much just in labor as you would for a perfectly serviceable (and updatable) Garmin or Magellan. FTW.

Thats 11 reasons why I posted that question here, I know this is a Subaru forum I drive an 04 STI but I wasn't getting any responses on any of the other forums.

There is nowhere near this amount of activity on the infinit forums(myG37,6mt,nicoclub)

I dont care if it is aftermarket as long as I can just hook it into the existing screen.
