Default Critical Bug with 2010 Stage 2 AccessPORT Maps!

2010 STI AccessPORT users, Immediate Action required!

If you have a 2010 STI AccessPORT, DO NOT install ANY Stage 2 OTS maps until further notice. A critical bug has been identified in these calibrations which effectively locks the ECU, disabling map switching and AccessPORT uninstallation. Note: This will not disable the ECU and the vehicle will operate in a normal manner, however, users will be unable to switch maps or uninstall their AccessPORT if these maps are installed.

All Stage 2 maps have been taken down from the COBB Tuning website and a new version of firmware is now active that will remove Stage 2 calibrations from current AccessPORTs. If you find that you are unable to switch maps or uninstall your AccessPORT, call our customer service line to more information on how to solve this situation.

We understand and apoligize for the inconvenience this causes and will work as quickly as possible to remedy the situation and we will make an announcement once the problem is fixed and new Stage 2 maps are available.

For more information visit www.cobbtuning.com, email sales@cobbtuning.com or call our customer service line at 801-713-0035.

**************UPDATE**************

COBB Tuning has released a new firmware version that automatically replaces faulty stage 2 maps on the COBB Tuning AccessPORT for 2010 STI. This new update will over-write the affected Stage 2 maps and replace them with new versions that have been tested to be 100% functional and safe. Stage 2 maps are now safe to use on ALL vehicles and can be downloaded from our website as well.

*NOTEThis new firmware version does not solve the previous fault in 2010 STIs that already installed Stage 2 maps. We are still researching a fix that can be performed in the field by end-users. Those affected users needing an immediate fix must still send their ECU and AccessPORT into COBB Tuning HQ for repair.

In addition, all maps have been upreved to v1.04 with the following changes:

- Improved Dynamic Advance and fueling on Stage 2 maps for 2008/2009 and 2010 STI

- LWG version of all stage maps have been created for 2008/09 and 2010 STI (must be downloaded from COBBTuning.com)

Add this to Cobbs ****ty customer service\warranty coverage and that is exactly why my AP is the only Cobb product I own. Who voids a warranty for a new product because it exchanges hands? Unbelievable. Best way to remedy this is to start taking care of your customers who got you were you are. Getting out of things like honoring a Warranty does not do anything but make your customers question if they should ever buy another Cobb product. This is EXACTLY why I did not buy any Cobb products for car upgrades. Selfish decision lost you guys thousands and I can only imagine how the 2010 owners feel.
