i think i am pretty sure how to fix my steering wheel but just making sure...i had my shop put on steering rack bushings while i got other stuff put on and they didnt tie down the steering wheel :/ its pretty bad, so do i unbolt the 2 bolts that are easy to get to on the linkage? then try and slide that whole thing up and turn it the way i need it to then slide back down and put the bolts back in?

Bump.

I must not be looking in the right places. Does anyone know what years are interchangeable with the 11+ WRX? 05+ possibly?

08+ STi. The GD linkages won't work.

I did this swap on an ADM GH8 (MY11) WRX on the weekend, but used the LHD STi u-joint.

My steering now feels much lighter, which I wasn't really expecting - more feel and feedback yes. I'm wondering if it could be the difference in angles of the joints between the RHD and LHD parts. I don't think I messed anything up - neither the steering wheel nor wheels were able to move during the process.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Small thread bump, wondering if this could/would eliminate the deadzone I currently have in my steering?
