Default subaru junkyard in tokyo?

anyone know of one? i'm heading over there in about a month for a snowboard trip and figure i can get a few goodies back in my snowboard bag. i'm shopping for a second gen legacy. if no one knows of any i'll just call the dealerships and see if they have any favorites.

if you have seen/been to, a good one let me know
thanks

i was wondering why there no one was in general community then i realized its like 1:30am there. (i'm in laos currently) everyone is in OT at this time of night.

There are no junkyards in Tokyo. If you live here and want used parts, you typically buy them off of Yahoo Auctions. Upgarage is an option but there isn't usually a ton of Subaru parts and the prices are not exactly great. The occasional deal can be found but their inventory is always changing.

As noted, Japan doesn't have the surplus real estate for an American style salvage yard. Their are some places (outside Tokyo) that cut cars up but they are tiny and nothing lasts for more than a week.

from everyone i have talked to i know there arent any WITHIN tokyo. but i'm open to making day trips to go wherever. i speak japanese, so thats not a problem and will only be in tokyo for around a week then am heading north to hokkaido. theoretically i can stop anywhere along the way. i know there are some in aomori, but other than that i got nothin.

Save your cash go to Hokkaido and visit the 2 or 3 dedicated suby shops up there, they will have everything your black suby heart can desire. On a side note you can have any decent suby parts from the Aomori junkyards you want, that is if I haven't completely raped them already!!!!

I've heard legends that there is a junk yard where every performance subaru goes to die when it gets old...

The best Junkyard in the Tokyo area is Showa Auto. It is located in the Zama/Atsugi area and all engines are bench tested in-house before selling. Showa gets a a lot of sports/sporty cars and new cars.
