Default oversize pistons for a 1998 ej22??

Im rebuilding my 98 2.2l motor out of my legacy and i cant seem to find anyone who has oversize pistons for that year engine. I have searched high and low so if anyone has any ideas short of having the pistons made for 700 dollars i would really apprciate it

Subaru factory oversized pistons? I know they have them for the 2.5, don't know about one's for a 2.2 though. If there priced around the same as the 2.5's then you might be able to get them from one of online venders for around $60.00 a pop, and rings will set you back another $120.00 for a set of four.

If your looking for aftermarket, Wiseco will do customs for $560.00 including rings, pins, and clips.

I was originally looking for factory oversized pistons but my friends who work at subaru dealerships said that they dont exist. Which i find hard to believe. But anyways I wanted to avoid having them made because it costs so much

Call a dealership that he doesn't work at and give them your vin and tell them you want 20 oversized pistons and rings to match. And then if they say that its not showing an oversized option then believe him.

I just tried checking on subarupartswarehouse . com and they don't list any oversized piston for any model which is wrong, so you will need someone who works at a dealer to look them up for you.

Yea i figured the dealership would have stock replacement pistons but not oversizes. Just called the dealership and guess what....they have .025 and .050 oversize pistons for the ej22e. 70 bucks a piston. got pretty lucky haha. thanks for your input
