Default Need a Test Wagon in Tucson

Hey Guys,

I am trying to find someone willing to bring their '02-'07 Impreza Wagon over to my house to test fit my new rear brace.

I am willing to give the tester $100 off the brace or any of our parts. If you are interested please send me an e-mail at: mickey@oswaldperformance.com

I live up in the Cortaro and I-10 area.

Thanks,

Mickey

Damnit! You had to ask this while my drivetrain is torn out!

I would be ALL over this if the car was running. Hell, I'd do it for free just to help bring some good wagon products to the market.

If this is still possible some how (I'm in PHX, but come to Tucson every weekend), let me know. Weren't we supposed to work on a wagon bumper beam together?

Yeah, I know we talked a while ago but I couldn't remember about what. Do you have an idea when your car will be running again?

Thanks,

Mickey

I could do it next weekend (Saturday 02/13th or 02/14th) if you can't find anyone until then.

At this rate? Not for a couple of months.

I took it apart, sold all the parts, then took a bunch of jobs on other people's cars, and now have no time to sit down and figure out what to replace my parts with much less time to install them. Doh!

It's alright though, your wagon will be mechanically perfect after it's all said and done. Then it's time for some sedan fenders!

I appreciate your help guys.

Spartan, I also sell a front subframe brace and lightweight Aluminum bumper beams (front and rear). Check out www.oswaldperformance.com for pictures and info on all of my parts.

Thanks,

Mickey

So is anyone planning to be in Tucson this weekend? I will be available Saturday until about 4:00 PM and Sunday after about 2:00 PM. Please let me know. I'd like to get the Wagon version going soon so it can be included in the current group buy.

Thanks,

Mickey

I wish I could help dude.

On a seperate note, we should collaborate on a rear subframe similar to the MSI unit. I like the idea of lowering the car while maintaining proper suspension geometry in the rear. I also like the huge increase in stiffness it provides without adding a ton of after-thought bracing. The MSI unit fits the bill well, but at $1900 it's out of most people's price range.

I would be more than willing to help you design it (I've got a good amount of CAD and FEA experience and tools as well as stock parts for mock-up and measurement).

Because he's in Tucson. I can understand that he doesn't want to make the drive. I will actually be in Tucson too this weekend, but not with my wagon since it's being overhauled right now.

I could pick it up and bring it back tghe phx with me and test fit it with pictures and measurements by Monday night if Mickey's interested.

how long do you think it would take to test fit? I could probably cruise down in the morning, but I'd need to be back around 3pm.

That might work, but if not, I'm just going to pick it up.
