I need help with a 97 expedition with a no start condition after a heater core replacement.I have not checked if its a no spark or no fuel or both condition.Does anyone know if the factory security system needs to be reset ?

hmm If the tech who pulled the dash to replace the heater core didnt reconnect something relating to the fuse box, that could cause an issue.

Does it turn over? Is there an aftermarket alarm? Run an OBDii scanner and see if there are any codes. Could be something related to coolant temp sensor, did the truck overheat?

I checked all the major connectors at the drivers side junction block and the connectors on the right side of the firewall near the battery.I really did not see any pins bent or bad connections. This was Thursday so I called it a day.Friday I return with a scan tool to pull codes and it just starts so now im gonna take it back apart and see if there is something I messed up on.This will be the last Ford I touch.

Well, let me know, I'm excellent at troubleshooting, specially electrical.

Yeah, I've worked on enough Fords that "Friends don't let friends buy Fords".

I told one friend, "if you buy anymore mustangs, I'm not gonna work on them!"

Thank you for everyones ideas.I took the whole dash off like I was doing a heater core.I did not find any wires, connectors or grounds missing or loose.Talk to Ford dealer and they said fuel pump and pcm relays were a very common problem with 97 Expeditions, the intermittent no start was just coincidental with heater core job. This has not been a fun experience, been working on it since Monday at 8am.Tommorow I will be putting it back together.
