Here are the results of COBB Tuning Surgeline's tunes for this week. Hopefully you guys don't mind a couple non-Subarus thrown into the mix

Feel free to ask any questions.

RE: 2.0 / 20G tune

Looked through your database and the vast majority of 2.0L 16G EvoIII graphs are showing superior all around. Obviously a 16G EvoIII will offer better performance before the 20G reaches max boost, but most of these plots also showed higher or equivalent peak HP as well. I was comparing pump plots to pump plots.

Any indication what might have been holding that 2.0L / 20G back?

Did this car have stock injectors ? those are real good numbers for the mods on the car . how much lower would the power be with 91 oct and an STI TMIC ?

Why is the 8cm 68HTA on a 2.5L tuned on 93 octane so close to the VF43 (on a 2.5L) despite the VF43 being tuned on 92 octane? Both cars also have similar TMICs, so its not the intercooling. . . .

uhh... the HTA 68 is like +25-30 HP. That's pretty typical for the difference between a vf48 / vf39 and an HTA68. I usually consider an HTA68 to be a vf39 +20-25 HP, so it's getting a little extra.

check out the other HTA68s in their database, these are pretty typical differences between these two turbos.

But its supposed to be the new 20G... Glad I didn't jump onto the turbo of the month band wagon!

Anyway, nice tune on the VF43 and too bad you guys aren't in my area, otherwise I'd you have you tune my 48 before I drop in the 20G I have in my garage. I'd love to see a 1:1 comparison on the same car with the only difference being the turbo.

Can you comment on differences on performance on the hta68 7cm vs 8cm hotside?

Thanks
