Default Sixth Consecutive Podium Finish For Wolf Rally Team

Our recap and videos below:

Wolf Rally Team claimed two additional podiums at Rally In The 100 Acre Wood held near Salem, MO.

Driver Rob Weir teamed with Dan Norkus as CoDriver for the event.

“The stages on Friday were very open and fast. We had to stay on maximum attack, due to our engine lacking a turbo” said Weir. On Friday’s night stages, the team battled heavy dust, and lost their intercom. Despite these challenges, they finished 2nd in class, and 3rd overall for the Trespassers Wil Regional Rally.

In true rally spirit, driver Dick Rockrohr lended the team the intercom from his rally car, which suffered transmission failure on day one.

Rob and Dan stayed on attack throughout day two. The team posted the fastest time for a regional entry and 10th fastest overall on SS14 Pigeon Roost East; covering 10.42 miles in just 9:05.3. “We were at the limits and had two very close calls, nearly rolling the car. After the second service on day two, we had enough lead time to adjust our pace for the night stages.” Dan stayed beautifully on the notes and kept a great attitude this weekend.”

Day two ended with Wolf Rally Team taking 2nd place in class, and 2nd overall for the 100 Acre Wood Regional Rally.

The team took 3rd place in the Lou Fusz Subaru Honey Jar Challenge, which rewarded the top 5 fastest AWD regional competitors with prize money.

Rob is currently leading Open Light class in points, and currently 2nd overall in points for the Rally America Central Region.
