Default Cobb AP noob question.

so i got my AP today from Perrin, dowloaded the AP updater and AP manager and flashed my car to the perrin stage 1 map.
ok my question is this; where is my stock map? when i hook up the AP to my computer i can see all the COBB maps and the Perrin map but i dont see my stock map. the only reason i was looking for it was to save it somewhere on a disk or thumbdrive for safe keeping in case something happens to my computer or AP or whatever. thanks in advance

When you hook up your AP it will verify the vehicle first and then ask you to install. After the install it will ask you to chose a map. When you choose the map and press ok it will automatically save the stock ecu tune and then install your selected map. Once installation is done you turn your car key to the off position. When you turn your car back on you can verify which map is installed and you can also see the other maps stored in the AP. The stock tune ecu map is at the bottom of all your maps after Valet. Hope this helps you find it. If the AP didn't save your stock map you did something wrong....

plus...you should not of had to update your AP anyway because Perrin downloaded there map into your AP before they shipped it and they make sure you are running the most current version. I know a person at Perrin.

Nope. Search and read the Cobb website as well. The AP is "married" to one vehicle at a time. The only way to use it on another is to "unmarry" it from the current vehicle.

i understood your first post. what i wasnt sure about was the naming of the stock map. when i look at the maps on my comp i can see all the stage maps, valet, anti theft, and perrin, there is one labeled "installed stock mode v104..... what was throwing me off is the vendor says "Cobb tuning" so i was thinking was i couldnt "see" my stock map and the map labled "stock mode" was a pre-map from Cobb.
thanks for the help, i guess i wasnt asking the right question or leaving too much info out.
