For once I agree with their decision to not bring a model to the US. Not that it's not cool, we are just over saturated with trucks and I don't think they'd get any reasonable chunk of the market.

But they can still bring the Scirocco over if they like...

There aren't really that many small trucks here. The Ranger, Frontier/Equator, and kind of the Tacoma. That's about it and the Ranger is ancient and the Tacoma really a mid-size now.

With the suckyness of the Colorado and the super outdatedness of the Ranger I think they could sell em here... but if they can't build them in North America they won't make money and we won't see it. Same reason I'm not sure we will get the Golf R...

I actually like it. A 2.0L diesel pick-up would actually be kinda sweet!!!

Small trucks don't sell well because full-size ones are not much more expensive. I'm sure VW could never undercut the domestics or even Toyota
