The car drives like it is stock and pulls with the fury of an angry demon! I want to thank Jodi at rallispec and Jimmy and Junior at the shop for getting the car in such great running order. I am so impressed with the numbers the car made with only 16psi of boost. I can't wait till the warmer weather and run 23-24psi and really let the motor/turbo breathe!

Nice! What is the CF on the dyno? 1.2 Are u really reaving to 8K ? Is this the standard 3K rallispec shortblock? Why only 16psi?

Looks like 8400 to me Juan

You can't go wrong with the Rallispec/TheShopCT combo. Reliability at its best for sure.

Nice Job Cramer, and nice to see you in PPB!

Nice work! it seems like a very good set up. I can't wait to see what she'll do when you can turn her up.

I love the color too! It's always been one of my favorite colors on the WRX, not sure why they only did it for one year. Post more pictures if you can.

I believe the CF is 1.2, I think STI Mikey had posted in his that it was 1.2. It was built by Rallispec, but it is not one of their pre-determined setups. Yes, it really does rev out to roughly 8300rpms, gotta love them 2.0L heads! The reason for only 16 psi is to just break the motor in and for safety during the winter.

I have not launched it with this tune on the car only because I need some new pads and rotors...the car creeps forward when I try to build boost for the launch. From a dead stop and just rolling into the power, once the boost kicks in, all 4 tires break lose and i need to really control the car to keep it straight... its so much fun!!

its kind of a frankenstein intake setup. Its the perrin cold air intake, but it was cut to supply a big MAF. Now that i have switched to utec and speed density, we cut the big MAF portion out and put it back to normal diameter

Nice Brian, did you have the heads CC opened to match the 2.5 bore, a thicker gasket, or a stock gasket with oem 2.0 CC volume? Ill deff let you know when I come down...

They were machined to allow for the 0.5mm oversived valves. I did not do any porting on them as it wasnt necessary for the end result power goals i have. I am using a Cosworth gasket. I don't recall the exact thickness. I will add the specs for it when i find the paperwork from the build.

they are factory 2.0 heads from an 04 wrx with the shimless buckets. To my knowledge they were not bored out to a 2.5L bore.

what benefit would there be to a 2.5L bore, apart from the bigger volume? If I port matched them, revving out to 8500+ rpms wouldn't be as safe.

As soon as the snow that just got dumped on us has been cleared from the roads and they are dry again I would love to go take some video/rolling shots... so maybe this weekend!!

Matching the bores on the heads will correct the quench and drop your compression.

FYI I didn't do mine either and I LOVE my high compression

Ok thanks, I didnt either, just using a thicker gasket. I keep hearing about how much better the setup can be with the larger bore.
