Default What Is the best year for the STI

Hello Guys, I currently have an 02 wrx with 300awhp. The car has just hit 100,000 miles. Little things are starting to go wrong and its time to upgrade. Ive always wanted an STI but just could never afford one. I just graduated from college and am looking to get an STI with the lowest miles I can. However, I am not a fan of the 08 and up models. So What year STI would you recommend between 04-07 and why? Thank you

Jason

Default Word on the steet is...

I've always heard the 05 STIs were the best among the rest. But don't get me wrong cuz thats just what I've heard; I could be mistaken.

05 or 06 IMO. Only thing that makes the decision for me is that i love the 06/07 styling and the 07s have the ringland issue... Therefore 06 FTW!

I like the hawkeye look of the 06-07's but I really wouldn't recommend getting an STI if you drive a wrx. they tend to be more unreliable compared to wrx's.

2008-2010. Don't need the attention from cops, the hatch is epically useful, and the car is less boy racer overall. It may be "mushier" and less connected to the driver, but that's what mods are for, right?

My vote goes to the 06 STi, hawkeye is the best looking subaru ever made in my opinion.
