I found the Perrin procedures to be sufficient, but in my line of work it is always said to have too much documentation than not enough.

that is a cold air, its def. not a short ram intake.

did you really get the air vent to fit back on it didn't go on my car.
i used same intake on same 09 wrx sedan.
you didn't mention disconnecting battery as perrin sugests is it not necessary.
