Default My 1940 NewPort Blue Pearl Schwinn

Finally finished a project i have been tinkering with for a bit, resored a 1968 for my girlfriend, decided to do this one for myself. Thought Newport Blue Pearl would look nice on it. I will post more before and after pictures if there is any interest

Yes i know, i am working on getting an authentic Schwinn tag for the head-tube, and yes, i know i changed the drive over to a regular 1/8th inch chain rather than the twin-link that was on it. Enjoy

It is an old 24" wheelset-frame but with slight modification I put 26's on it, it gave it a nice look i feel, pictures don't do it justice.

I have the original 24" 1940 wheelset which i am working on completely stripping down, relacing and re-painting the white on the rim itself, 26's for now though. As for the price, I do it for the fun and satisfaction. The right buyer or if I did this for a customer, 750 non-original parts, 2500-original parts. <ballpark

Neat. I have a blue, 1980 Schwinn Stingray that has barely been used sitting in my basement. I think I'll hold to it for, ohhh, another 40 years. Haha!

Looks sick, perfect for a summer on the Cape! That looks like a GT or Haro chainring
