Default A few questions by a soon to be WRX owner.

Hello all! I sold my VW and am about to buy a new WRX! Now the questions:
1) Anyone on here a salesmen in the Seattle area? I would like to buy from an enthusiest if possible.

2) On Subarus home page they list Under Spoiler (Front, rear, and side). I was under the assumption these were standard. What is the difference between stock body and body with these? Pictures?

3) The STI performance muffler is also listed as an option from the dealer. Is this a turbo back muffler? Is it worth it?

4) Last question, will the 2003's be out soon. I would hate to buy a new WRX and then have the 2003 model come out a month after. Thanks All!

Most will tell you around here to use the search as most of your questions have been asked many times. I'll help you with what I can though.

1.) don't know I'm from the east coast

2.) The under spoilers are an option. I do like the factory ones very much though. Very nice.

3.) I'm 99% sure the STI muffler is from the rear axle back, not a cat back.

4.) Though there have been some things floating around about changes in the WRX for my03, most of it is crap from what I can tell. Maybe at very best a new looking front end. Same for everything else.

Happy Driving and good luck with your new Rex!

Do u have to ask?

Default

1) look in the location forums........

2) the same site show's you pictures of what the spoiler's look like!

3) the STi muffler is just that........a muffler. Not worth it at all for the $800 they ask..........for $1K you get a complete turbo-back that will benefit your car much more.

4) 2003 models will be out by late summer/fall. No point waiting for it as there will be no major changes. Only difference will be maybe minor interior options and one special edition color. If you want you can wait till the 03's come out and then buy an 02, see if the dealer can give you a deal on the older model, since they need to get rid of them anyways.

.....for future reference d00d, on this site people tend to get annoyed if you ask simple questions over and over again. My suggestion, use the search button first, then if you feel you don't have the answer's you wanted, make a new thread explaining exactly what you need.

or just head to the "newbie" forum. that place has the least risk of flamage.

2) One thing I have noticed about the WRX factory body kit. It looks nice, but the front pieces are held on by double sided foam tape. Well, at least one I saw at my local Subaru dealer was. And one of the frontside pieces under the foglight was hanging off the bumber. After seeing that, I thought either that is one crappy body kit, or this dealer is no compotant enough to put dealer installed parts on the car. Unless of course someone hit it and pulled it off.
