Default Good day at auto-xing

This was at Chugiak HS parking lot today (Monday). About 30 cars and a 02 Lightning. As usual the fastest was a WRX. Congrats to Getagrip. As for me I think ahm gonna need some new tires by the end of summer. I did beat a Honda Insight!

Yes, it was a very good day. I don't know what I beat, I'm sure something. Kapa did very well, and that insight was, well, quite impressive, when you think about the fact it is an "econo" car, a "hybrid" one at that, it handled rather well.

It was a lot of fun, you should come out Rawcode.

This is your kind of driving Rawcode! I don't see why you're not all the auto-xing.

The next event is next weekend (6/8 and 6/9) and is the annual competitive driving school. Instructors, John and Danielle Engstrom (no relation to Jake) are flying up from Chicago. They have 5 national championship titles between them and are the current national champions in A-Modified (highest solo 2 class).

The event is currently scheduled for 2 locations in Anchorage because we are hoping to get the better of the two. To reduce confusion, we will be announcing the location early next week when we find out if the better one is available.

Well, with my membership to the SoloII Yahoo Group, I found out that the school, and the event looks like it will be held at the Port of Anchorage, South Transit lot. Tech is scheduled 9-9:30am, so get there at 9. There also seems to be some "guidlines & instructions" that are to be followed (security, route to the port, and the competition area, etc..) that might be better elaborated upon by AutoXr. With the security, I don't know what the plan is with the "spectators" either.
