Question Appendix to WRX service manuals?

I'm getting geared up to cash in my MBNA coupons for a set of MY02 service manuals, but now I see that subaruparts.com is listing an appendix of corrections, too. Does anybody know how extensive the corrections are, what they entail? I'm assuming I'll just buy it along with the other 7 vols. that I want... what's another $10.- when I'm already paying close to $300.-

BTW, why is SubaruParts.com selling the individual manuals for OVER list price?

TIA,

Ben

personally I think Subaru should just give people who bought the first batch of manuals the "update" for free. $300 is a lot for those books, IMO, and I was surprised when I bought my service manuals last year that there's a good number of sections that were incomplete.

If you're buying the books, get the updates... and then post and tell us what's in there ;-)

Cheers

I'll do better than that... SOA ought to post the effing manuals on the internet and let anybody who wants download them as pdfs for free. Bad enough they're charging us for them, now this...

Default Service manual correction contents

I've got the corrections (given to me free by the dealer) and it's not really anything too important to worry about:

!. Front suspension exploded drawing
2. Subframe removal & installation
3. The rest of it is mainly for body shops, as it has to do with unibody measurements (to straighten a crash), and where and how the various different kind of body sealers are applied (Body caulk, wax sealer, etc.).
IMHO, not worth the 10 or so dollars Subaru wants for it, and it's not even bound, just loose pages....
