Default Gauge mask kit installed!

Well, after lodging myself in the seat trying to get the original housing out of the dash, I got my gauge mask from Derres Catalano installed. Everything fit perfectly with no hassle. Looks great, to boot! I've got boost, egt, and oil pressure as of now with pics to come soon. Of course, they are non-functional 'cause the turbo is not in the car yet, but I am about to hook up the oil and egt gauges 'cause I can and I also want to see how they look when illuminated.

Also, any harm in just hooking up power to them to get them to light up?

No harm at all. In fact, you can hook up ALL of the gauges, including the boost gauge. On the boost gauge, you will see vaccum all the way up to 0 inches/mercury. Once you get the turbo on, you will start to that much awaited "positive pressure" on the boost gauge.

My Gauge Mask kit is designed for 52mm (or 2 1/16") gauges. 60mm is just too big, sorry
Trade them in for some 52mm and then give me a buzz!

This is for the center gauge pod or the main instrument panel? Have any pictures of what it is?

It is for the center gauge pod, not the main panel. My friend took some pics yesterday, but has yet to send them to me. I'll post 'em as soon as I get 'em.

My Gauge Mask kit is for use with the Subaru accessory gauge housing that mounts where your clock is in the center of the dash, above your air vents and radio.

Pics can be seen here :http://members8.clubphoto.com/derres...73/guest.phtml

or do a search under my name for the thread in the Private Classifieds. There's alot of pics there too.

Sorry wcbjr, didn't mean to turn your thread into my advertisement

Charlie, I was gonna hook up my stuff first.... and then reinstall later, but I figured I didnt want to take the risk of messing with the sensors/probes more than one time (just in case)

my 2 cents

Kevin, will you be doing an a-pillar or gauge pod arrangement? Or both?
