Finally headed out to the track... here's some footage of my first session. 28 cars were on the track at the same time so there was a **** load of traffic and they only allowed 2 passing zones in the lapping group... fail.

Anyways, car felt pretty good. With no traffic I was able to do 1:36-1:37 lap times in the afternoon on street tires!

Thanks.

It was with IRDC. My friends were doing the driving school to get their solo license's so I was in the lapping group.

$200USD only for 4 x 30min sessions!

I think I'll be out on April 16th with BMW CCA.

Just the driving school. $250US @ IRDC or like $485US or something with Proformance Racing. Then you get your solo license if you pass.

Uh- just to clarify. It's signed off to ride alone for those reading- not solo license. That seems to imply you get to race a certain class. :P .. and everyone passes typically

It's not a "proper license" then - just formality that allows you to go without an instructor onboard

Oh and I finally got the car running. Motor is so much louder than before! Valve train noise I guess.... not to mention the exhaust is like even louder. Guess it's all from the big port heads.
A little late in responding... But that's a sickening price.

Drift Office out of Portland carries VIPEC now, and they're almost a grand cheaper. But then again, that's not with the wire in conversion.

nice work Aurther! Did the B5 Audi S4 have OZ wheels and stoptech brakes? looks like my old car hahahahha.

You should be running A group... too many cars holding you up. Your car sounds amazing. With all that power you should run 285s R-comps all around.

Yeah, it's an amazing ECU but it still has some issues that doesn't make it good for everyone. Im sure with a much needed firmware update some of the issues will be solved. There's been 2-3 times where while I'm driving I'd actually loose power to my throttle body. I'd have to cycle the ignition for it to work again. If I were drive-by-cable this ECU would be so much better.

It might have actually . It was pretty quick!

I was already in the fastest group.

Maybe when the car gets a little older I'll go widebody 18x10.5" rims on 295/30/18 tires

Could you give an idea of any other issues or annoyances you have with the Vipec V88 EMS for prospective buyers?
