I was really excited when I saw this post cause I just graduated and want a job in Austin. Unfortunately Networking and Server administration is not my field of expertise. Yay for whoever gets this job! Austin is an awesome place to live.

Yep, our Austin office is our new HQ coming online this Spring.

We currently have facilities in:
SLC, UT
Portland, OR
Plano, TX
Scotts Valley, CA
and now Austin, TX

Plans are for a few more facilities domestically and internationally on an undisclosed time line. All which need to be properly and securely linked together.

Its a great position for someone that likes to be hands on in a grassroots environment and work without a bunch of corporate overlords making decisions with little to no understanding of what you actually do. Oh, and you can work with a bunch of other car geeks.

It's not a good position for someone that wants to spend their day between figuring out how to burn through a $300,000 quarterly budget and planning their next Starbucks run while complaining that some engineer with a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering wants to spend their break time theorizing with you their ideas about predictive packet routing.

That is to say, you'd be working with a bunch of computer geeks that will likely inquire into every IT related decision that gets made because they all care and want the best for the company. If you don't want to deal with that, definitely don't apply!

Cheers,
Trey Cobb.

This was never in doubt.

This is good to hear. Sounds like something up my alley, except for the Mac stuff, but I love what I'm doing now. Good luck with finding someone.

Wish I had the sys admin stuff.

Got the network stuff, CCNA, retaking BSCI on monday. Mucho experience at a very high level in inside plant cabling in commercial/Industrial environments if you need help with initial set-up.(Former BICSI Technician certified, and a quality inspector for a network cabling company)

Hey Steven (AliBenn)! Yep, that RS is still in the COBB family though its AWD again with a WRX swap.

Thanks everyone for the resumes, we've been getting a lot of great responses from really talented people. It's going to suck to have to only pick one for the position!

We are hiring for other positions listed here:
http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?id=4681

Soon we'll also post a job listing for a customer service/tech support for the Austin location.

Also note that we've just started a program where all employees go through a specialized 2-day EFI 101 training for FREE!

Cheers,
Trey Cobb
