I've yet to test/tune the launch control, but I did get the patch into my ROM. As of right now, it's too cold anyway. I break the tires loose rolling in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd anyway. Star Specs do not like being frozen. ASXs are going back on right away. I think a proper launch with the help of LC would get me pretty damn close to an 11.

hey juan...that airboy was done on 93 pump. i intend to re weigh the car and get her thinned down to 3000. don't know how but that is def a goal for 2011. i have seen gdb's below 3000lbs. not that that compares to the gc8s that seneca ralph and chris have down around 2600.

i'm still on the fence for daily e85, race gas is just easier at the track.

You can do it for sure, mine is at 2720lbs full interior and 410whp on Airboy. E85 for a DD is the best decision I made, you don't have to worry about knocking ever .

since i have met mikey and ron , the car does not knock. (proper tuning)

you can sell you current injectors and get back half of the 600, which are on the high side

Why do people worry so much about gas millage? a tank of E85 last me 5 hours of driving; it last me a week. There is more than whp, E85 is the torque fuel and the car runs better and cooler. Seriously if people have E85 available they are dummies for not running it...

I agree, if not for the added power, then certainly for the added det protection. If you use e85 and tune in a sort where you are half way between a 93 tune and an e85 tune, there would be no more ringland problems (at least on the stock and smaller sized turbo's).

Jake, go for it. I can't wait for march, Im using the new 1600's in a 35R STi on the corn (down in south florida). 550 easy, Im hoping for 600

-Mikey

EDIT:

In all honesty Jake, you have all thr right stuff. Why not just ditch the 30 for a 35 and larger IC and run E85. Literally, you can have a 500whp airboy car by the weekend my friend. Take a few passes with the 30 this year, then swap it for the 35.

I tuned Phil on the 1200's down in Miami last time out to florida. The car was sick, but we were out of fuel at 22.5 psi Thats 93 octane, not e85

Im hoping that with the 1600's we'll be able to run 24-25 psi with a nice 11.8-12.1 AFR and just a bump added to the timing table. If he wants to go crazy, i call 600 on the virtual all day long

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-160...Q5fCarQ5fParts $460

http://www.jegs.com/i/Aeromotive/027...FcTb4AodU1UdHA $325

785 = $800 i would have to put out, and maybe get back 300$ for the id1000's.

the cheaper e85 does pay out when i get 80 more miles on 93.

i do understand knock prevention. smells good too.

then we are getting into an fittings, swirl pots, retune...

i have my eye on this turbo with the rotated front mount setup, but thats after i re-invent velco and facebook.

Why do you need such a big pump for ?

I am using 1200cc FP injectors with FP green with a single 255 phl Walbro and I make 410-420whp Airboy.

You should be fine with the 1600cc and one of the new pumps, the aeromotive 340 or the deaschwerks 300

12.0 121mph = 420whp airboy? 420 on a vf39? wow.

your right juan, i linked the wrong pump.

http://www.jegs.com/p/Aeromotive/Aer...98076/10002/-1 $170

so 460$ + 170$ = 630$
