Yea I tend to check FS regularly. I do get on NASIOC pretty often, but I'm usually just looking through classifieds. I just happened to see this thread while I was looking through the regional forums for a car heh.

02 wrx (he may be busy though that day, and idk if he has any mods...I haven't seen him in a while haha)
09 infiniti g37s (nismo exhaust)
07 mustang gt (forget mods but dynod at 302 whp)

we also have a guy with a stock 99 2.5rs but idk if he wants to go to the drag strip.
Haha, sounds good. He doesn't have to run his RS, it's just a great place to hang out and see some awesome vehicles. I think that right after the Nationals and being the first T&T night of the year there should still be some buzz about the place.

Man I just checked out my tires though... No way I'm gonna be able to run. I guess I wasn't thinking about my 41k mile stockers when we started the drag discussion. ...

how fast is the 600 in the 1/4 and 0-60?
Honestly, I dunno. I've never taken it to the track, haha. It's not even in Gville. It's back home (where I am now), so I was planning on riding and trying to sell it. Although I will say it does at least 153 mph. I ran out of road...

Sounds good! Maybe I should talk to him about my services at Duval instead of Rene. :P

That would probably be me.
I had lived in Gainesville since '04. I tried to get involved on Florida Subarus but the boards seemed so slow I stopped checking them. It seemed to be the same three people posting. I have a White Wingless '05 on Gold Torques.

I'm Joe, I actually just moved away from Gainesville in October of '09 for a job with DEP at our state's capital (sucks, I know). I still come into Gainesville every weekend because my girlfriend is still in Grad School and my sister is a PA at Monroe Regional. I usually bring my '92 Lexus Beater down to keep the miles off the WRX, but if you guys are organizing a drive/meet on the weekends, post up and I'm down for it.

Hopefully we can get some weekend action going soon, but I think the track Wednesdays is a good first meet for us I think the track's open on Saturdays at some point, too. Not too sure about it though. Good to have you aboard, man!

I'll keep an eye on this thread, post updates and I'll be sure to bring the WRX down instead of the Lexus if anything is going on. I'd be down to hang out at the track, I can't really run my car until I get a 6-speed though. 18/20G + Drag strip launch = bad news.

I think I remember seeing your car on I-75 when I first got mine about two years ago.

Just get you some spur cut PPGs in that 5mt and you'll be gravy. I won't be able to run either until I can afford new tires... which will probably be around the same time that the belts are showing on these.

Totally possible! I moved to Gville in... like... sometime in 2008. April/May-ish. I have trouble remembering stuff these days. Was I doing something reckless? I'll probably avoid recklessness in the months to come considering that I have $0 for fixing of breakage. I'll probably even detune the turbo boost.

I have over 300 brutal launches (street, strip), probably over 1000 FFS on my PPG straight cut gear box, and over 20k miles....never misses a beat.
Worth every penny.

(this is all with at or over 400whp)

i'll be there .
question is, oil change before or after I go? just hit 4500 miles since the last one I believe. Usually wait until 5k. Oil looks dark though.
I only plan on doing a few runs, Just want to get in the 12.9's.

and my a/c isn't working anymore . did a small amount of research and it seems my a/c compressor still works but i'm out of freon..so must be a leak somewhere..

I'd change it.
If I was going to be winding my car out shooting for a PR, I'd make sure it had some fresh rotella

Yeah, changing it is never a bad idea. I still have 5 quarts of SynTec and a filter sitting in my trunk... running up on 6k now.

Yeah, I won't be running either... my driveline is vibrating and I can't figure out why.

I'll be drivin' a dirty blue 06 rex, Josh (n1c3tr1) will have his silver bugeye wagon. We'll probly get there between 7-8.

If so, does someone coming have an extra one I can borrow

You need one if you plan on going < 14.0 seconds. I had to borrow one last time I ran, so I can't help you out there.

I agree, had a good time, maybe next week? haha. Nice meeting everyone.

I sucked it up haha. Way harder than it looks. It was my first time ever trying to race at a drag strip. I was only dropping it off the starting line from 4-4.5k and was shifting around 5.5k or 6k. The tree's gonna take some getting use to. And I need to learn to shift faster.

my r/t's were 1.085, 1.059, 0.645, 1.205
my 60' were 2.486, 2.397, 2.351, 2.429.
1/4 were 15.354, 14.572, 14.693 (misshift 4 to 5), 14.435 (bogged start badly).
mph were 96.57, 98.67, 94.93, 100.10

I'm gonna make a thread and post the time slips in the proven power bragging section just for the hell of it just to show my improvements the next time I go. EDIT: here's the thread http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...1#post30182981
