Default My 05 Legacy GT Limited on ebay/low reserve

NOW IT IS ON EBAY:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...STRK:MESELX:IT

For sale is 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Turbo 4wd. Light leather inside, black outside. 133k miles on body, 60k miles on new engine, 1k miles on new turbo. Automatic transmission. Car runs great, shifts great and brakes great. Car was garage kept, so the exterior shines and looks gorgeous, the interior is nice and clean. All the maintnance was done on time and can be proved by the receipts. The parts recently replaced: brakes, tires, struts. Car is driven daily and can go elsewhere.
The issues worth to mention are: 2 very tiny dings on the door and tiny scratches on the rear bumper from daily use. Noting outrageous and barely noticeable. The arm rest has very small scratch on the leather, the whole interior is going to be cleaned during the weekend.

Please email me for more pictures.

The only trade I would be interested in is 2000/2001 Subaru Impreza RS manual, or others manual subarus, plus 5000 cash on top.
I'm located in Parsippany, NJ 07054

I'm pretty interested in this. I'm not a huge fan of leather, but I can overlook it. Can you please go into further details on the new engine at 70k and new turbo after I suppose 59k. Or was just the shortblock/longblock replaced at 70k so the original turbo was on until 132k. Just curious what happened. I've been reading about issues with the banjo bolt on the turbo. Did it destroy the original engine?

Anyway, I'm sure it will help your sale whether it's to me or someone else. The more details the better. How far are you from NYC? Thanks.

Also what tint is that?
And how much documentation do you have about the new engine?

Any interest in an auto 01RS sedan?

The turbo was replaced at 64.xxx miles for the first time by the dealer. Few miles later the engine blew out and was fully replaced by the dealer. The shortblock and all the valves, seals and everything you can imagine were replaced by the dealer at no cost by dealer warranty from previous repair. Turbo was also replaced at this time again. Full set of receipts is here. This turbo lasted till few months (~3) ago. Now there is installed brand new turbo (1-2k miles on it now). I have a folder full of receipts from the time car had 30k miles. Hope this helps.

in regards to your RS - I really need a manual.

Hmm, what is going on that the turbo keeps having issues? Didn't they resolve any starvation problems when they replaced everything? So the heads are original and only the shortblock was replaced? Who installed the most recent turbo? Thanks.

I think everything was replaced. The receipt lists all the valves and seales, but they use shorts so I can't really recognize everything.
The last turbo was replaced in local shop by the mechanic who is also a subaru enthusiast. He fixed a serious amount of subarus in jersey

I wouldn't say the turbo keeps having issues. They last for no longer than 60k miles. I thought it was typical for subarus, wasn't it?

Was the mesh screen removed from the banjo bolts? I believe there are two that are an issue.

Turbo replacement isn't typical at all as far as I know, they seem to last the life of the vehicle in most Subaru cases, it's just these models that have been having issues and grenading engines which is why I'm so cautious about buying one.

Was the latest turbo new or used and where was it purchased, receipts for that?

I don't mind replacing the turbo once in a while if it fails, I'm just afraid of the engine blowing again since it seems to be so common with these cars. Thanks.

FYI I believe it's 3 banjo bolts/filters in total. At least it is in on my 2.5L. 2 for the AVCS and 1 for the turbo oil feed. All of mine are gone 75K stock turbo Cobb stage 2 no issues.

Probably I would, but the distance kills our deal unfortunately. I'm in NJ.

Cool, thanks. Some people have weird definitions of new. Do you know anything about the banjo bolts?

It was last registered in my city according to the autocheck, that's a coincidence. Was that you?

PM'd you.
