Default Monday night Iracing League

After long discussion in another thread we have decided to make an Nasioc Iracing league. We are still kinda working out the bugs on exactly what time will be best for everyone. A poll has been taken and hands down Monday evenings seem to suit everyone best. As of right now what I will do is host a session each Monday night that starts with a Practice session, short qualifying session followed by a race. I will most likely start open Practice as early 7-8pm and then race at 10pm EST. Times may change slightly here and there. The hosted session will require you to enter a password which I will post in this thread. Perhaps as we get better organized, points can be awarded and we can make it into a championship. This coming Monday March 8th will be our first try to start to get something going. I will post each weekly track and car combo each Tuesday so you can also practice and before the actual Monday event. Ok so enough said, this all makes sense to everyone correct? If you wanna post your Iracing name with you Nasioc name it might be helpful for everyone once we get into a session. With that all said here is our First combo that I will Host on the 8th of March. Hope to see everyone make it.

Monday March 29th
Car:
Track:

Open Practice will begin tonight at 6:30pm EST with a 30 Minute qualifying session at 9:30pm followed by a race at 10:00pm EST.

I'll join in but I really don't want to have to purchase too many more tracks and cars as it gets too expensive.

Yeah we are gonna try and stick with the Rookie cars and tracks, at least for the beginning.

Awesome, glad to see some new faces in here. I may try and do a few shakedown laps tonight and work on a setup.

I'm in, at least as far as work/fiancee lets me!

Also, running some long open practice sessions at first is a great idea. I'll allow us to all sorta get on the same page skill-wise.

Im thinking I may hold off on a race this week and just have a long open practice, then race the following Monday. This way it will give everyone time to join and practice.

On an aside, what sort of lap times are you guys running in the Skippy at LRP? I finally ran a sub 1:00 lap in practice the other day, and I think with a few more hours practice, I'll be there consistently.

Just noticed: the car voted #1 most popular in the poll was the Spec Racer Ford, not the Skippy... which are we running this week?

Anyway, quickest for me is a 1:01 in the Ford. Haven't run the Skip Barber anywhere yet.

I figured NRT picked the F2000 and LRP because it's the car/track combo everyone has. Then I remembered the SRF is the one that comes with the game as the "advanced trainer" car.

I'm happy to run the Skippy, just because that's the series I'm currently running in, so it's better practice for the other races I'm running. But the SRF might be more fun just for the sake of a little variety.

I'll be there Monday, in whichever car we use. I'm still at 1:01.x in the Skippy with just one session, but I can see getting to 1:00's without much trouble. 59's might be hard, but it's too soon to tell. I don't think I have an SRF time yet, but I don't need it to get a C license, so I had been considering just skipping it.

Im down to a 59.2, still feel i can get a few more tenths. Yes we are running the Skippy for the first race. I will probably just make a long practice session for this Monday, sounds like everyone needs some extra time to practice.

If anyone gets bored over the next 24hrs. you should enter the 24 Hours de fun race. Mixed class Legends and SRFs at Talladega. Just did a race, a lot of fun.

The Spec Racer should be included for free -- unless they changed things

I just meant skip in the sense of not spending the time to learn the handling of the SRF. It's been taking me several hours (at least) to get decent times with each new car or track, and I only have so much time.

I'm out since its the Skippy. Haven't tried to drive it at all. Got enough of "racing" fill with the SRF and Jetta.

I think we're just running practice... plus the skippy drives very similarly to the SRF (it's actually a little easier than the SRF IMO)... even the lap times are comparative. You should run just for some fun.

I should be there barring anything unexpected.

Do these private practice/races have any change on our SR?
