Default ID2000's holding a rock solid 900RPM idle!

I thought you guys might be interested in this. I've been working on one of the cars here with some ID2000's and AEM EMS controlling them. For reference, this is an 04 STI with built engine and heads with BC cams. Currently its also running on straight 91 Octane. It took some work and a slightly different approach, but I managed to get a ridiculously stable idle out of these things. Check out the video:

Nice Ed!! You have to love those ID's. My ID1000's literally idle like stock, just great products!

Those are badass injectors. I wish I had a car that needed a set that size!

Just got back from doing some initial drivability tuning. These things flat out ROCK! Super smooth drivability, great transitions, and I still can't believe the idle. 2000cc injectors in a car with cams and a standalone idling like this is just insane. And this is still on 91 Octane which is calling for a pretty tiny injector on time at idle. Next we dump the 91 and put in some E85

You beat me to it. I was going to post the same exact video. I havent gotten mine yet though.

Are you using 2000cc as the scalar? Others have reported having to use 900cc and 1800cc....

Do they come with flow sheets like the DW's?

Is this the ATP35 car?

Thanks
Ron

I have been doing alot of reading up on these injectors. Do you need to run a resistor box with them?

I'm tuning this with an AEM, so there's no actual scalar like in the OEM ECU. From the scaling I had to do, I would say they definitely act like at least 2000cc injectors .
They do come with a data sheet including latencies which was very useful.

This is one of the ATP35r cars. We should also be firing up another one soon with the same injectors and our own twin-scroll rotated kit

No resistor box. We just had to de-pin and re-pin the clips and they were good to go.

no they are high impedence just like the stock injectors so they are just a drop in but upgraded rails are recommended

How about this... same car, but we just switched it over to E85. Now I managed to get it to hold a smooth, solid STOCK idle on 2200cc's!

Here's the video of just idle:

And here's idle and a free-rev to show the idle recovery:

Thanks

I got my car idling smoothly @ 900rpm with ID2000's and stock ECU + UTEC

Last night I went outside @ 1am and flashed some map changes. Forgot all about it until this morning when I went out for coffee and noticed the car was idling solidly @ 900rpm. The motor has a built bottom end, ported d25 heads, cosworth 278/274 cams, supertech +0.5mm valves, and ferrea springs. video incoming.
