at any offset that will clear suspension, thats not possible without flares.

im guessing since you are asking about rears, you don't know how stupid a staggered setup is, let alone on a subaru.

My decision has come to two setups for this spring. Im currently on stock 17s with stock suspension. Either 18x8 Oz Ultraleggera rims with 235/40/18 tire lowered on Epics or RCE Blacks springs Or a setup with 18x9.5 +38 offset of Rota Grids lowered on coils. I want to have an appealing stance but i really need to be functional as some roads where i live suck. Any help with this setup on tire size or what coils have worked for people would be great.

Coils might be the way to go so you can raise it in the Spring. I'm in the same boat given my location.

If you want to get your money's worth then why don't you go 18x8.5 grids with 245/40 tires, bilstein struts and rce blacks or yellows... This setup will out perform any intro level coilover at the same price point... Plus you'll have to treat/clean your coils every spring/fall of dirt and debris so they can turn and not seize up...

has anybody have fitted an 18 x 8, 35 offset with 235 40 on their 08 - 10 wrx yet?

Pretty certain the answer to that is yes. If I had to guess, it would possibly need a bit of a fender roll, I do not know for certain. I have 18x8 +45 with 235/40 tires. Do I have 10mm of clearance? I think so, but not certain.

So here is a followup after changing to winters.

I run 17x9 xxr522 +42 with a 255/40/17 on my 2008 hatch, lowered on DGR coilovers

I am rolled and pulled in all 4 corners and this is still the resulting damages:

worn off all paint front the inside of the fender, the lip and up:

fender liners have worn through on the insides all all 4 wheel wells:

Next spring when they go back on I will be pulling the finders more to fix the rub up front, but not much to do about fender liners.

Being low has it's price, and I'm not even that low lol

But I figured I may as well share to let anyone else debating 255's know what they're up against

I have a 08 wrx on tien s tech spring, what all would I have to do in order to run 18x9.5 grids on a 245/40 tire?

Get coils with front camber plates, and roll all 4 fenders...

Or get 8" wide grids and you could probably get away with a roll-n-pull. Probably.

Although i do like the ssr's and want them badly (will one day), i saw these cosmis racing wheels that would look good on my car for a fraction of the price. I have never heard of cosmis racing and was curious whats the scoop. there priced around new rpf1's which is also in mind (for a more aggressive street monster setup) but you see them around every block.

dimension's im interested in are 18x9 +25. thinking of wrapping 245/35's. Anybody have any comment's on these wheels? if there an ok brand, i think i just got my new wheels, and my cosworth intake mani! 2 bird's with one stone

PS: if you or someone you know owns a set on an 08-10 wrx, please share a photo

That is my exact setup... Sorry for the 3 month late response, haha.

With stock struts + eibach springs, I did not need to roll at all.
Raceland coilovers + slammed, I had to roll

This is with raceland coilovers, with a little bit more drop than the eibach springs

This is the raceland coilovers maxed low

plans have changed since. like the previous post stated, i will be on 245 40 18 with 8.5 x 18 wheels with 48 offset. suspension will be Epic springs with stock struts. i'm hoping that i do not need to do any fender mod to make this fit.

Wheel Specs: 18x8.5+48 rota dpt matte bronze

Tire and Specs: dunlop starspecz 255/35/18

Suspension: bc br coilovers and in rear i also have whiteline adjustable rear lateral toe arms, cusco adjustable rear lateral links, and cusco adjustable rear trailing arms..
Fender Modification: rolled ok... could be better. slight pull because it just happened as i was rolling. some misc fender wall trimming too.

Wheel Spacers: no spacers... however, i've considered them for in front. +48 is toooo close to the spring to run the alignment that i'd like. i'm like F -1.7 R -2.0 iirc. i still have a few mm between the spring and inner sidewall at -1.7. rears are fine.

i want to be running like a F-3 R -2. and some 18x9.5's w/ some 275's. we'll see. maybe i'll try 18x9's with a 265 instead.
