I might be interested in these. Since I have a 2013 limited wrx with heated mirror all I'll need are the mirror caps and signal LED's right?

You'll have to add the two LED wires into their respective plugs. It's not that hard to do. Just take apart the plug, add a couple metal clips to the wires, etc.

From what I've read having a '13 Limited WRX, I should be pre-wired already since I have heated mirrors...this is confusing. I thought I'd get away with just buying mirror caps and turn signals.

It's only pre wired up the the inside of the door. I just got done doing the led's/folding mirrors/defrosters on my base and the wiring is there for the signals, all pretty straight foward to do. You need caps, led's and then all you have to do is run the wire from the led through the mirror and tap it into the signal wires or use the metal clips as explained. Tapping in easier but not nearly as oem and pretty. I actually have some of these metal clips too left over from my install.....

If you have a limited you're fine, it's plug and play. If you have a base or whatever the next model up is called you have to add the wires. I have a limited and it's easy like weasy. Took 15 minutes, well maybe a little longer but not by much. Thing that took the longest was getting them painted and clear coated back from the painter.

I have a 2011 wrx premium hatch. My premium model has the heated mirrors. Would this be as easy as the limited that it would be plug and play as well or would I need to do some wiring?

Premium and Limited are the same as far as the mirrors. Keep in mind this is "plug and play" as far as if you were to buy a whole STI mirror and plug it in it would work. If you want to add the signal parts you will need to get the caps and paint them, take the mirror apart and add some wiring and the signal units.

Think I'll just be buying some STi mirrors in the future, than it looks to be plug and play for my 11' limited.

Hey I'm in the same boat I have a base wrx, I already wired the turn signals on the mirrors and ran wires for the heating option into the car but have no idea which wire to tap into for the heat, i'm assuming the rear defroster relay but I have no idea where that is located?

There is a thread on clubwrx that brings you thru the entire setup. Has the wiring diagram and everything. Its what I used to install my heated mirtors. its very usefull.

Default 08 STi mirrors--> 2012 WRX Limited

Are the 2008 STi mirrors plug and play for my 2012 WRX limited? I've been reading through forums and have found mixed reviews. I know the STi mirrors for '11+ would be plug and play but I don't know what changes were made between '08 and '11.

I don't want to lose my heated mirrors in doing the mod and would like to avoid messing with the wiring if possible. Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you!

I just got done reading through this whole thing and the 08-10' sti's had no heated mirror option in the US, sooooo... the answer is NO. Unless the Sti's was canadian! Just thought i'd save yah the trouble of reading through the whole thing.

Won't work on yours for the heated seats needing extra wires. '11 and up STI will be fine though.

Mind pm-ing me the details behind the '08 mirrors though? I dont have heated seats and am looking for a set

i have some questions to ask. but first i will list what i have. yes i have read the tutorial

so i bought two turn signal with covers. they both have connectors wired to the turn signal and the end wires still bare so i'm guessing i have to run those to my relays.

i recently brought a new mirror for my driver side cause the housing was recently smashed to bits.

it was an sti mirror without the back cover, luckily i had bought a pair above. so my driver side should be ready to plug and play? or do i have to still wire up the turn signal because the connector doesn't have lines to run into my blinkers.

dont think i have the option for heated mirror in my car also. how do i go about that since the replacement housing i bought was an sti mirror?

so for the passenger side i will follow the tutorial the best i can. not really good at hooking up wires but running them through the car shouldn't be that bad.

So a 2013 Limited will only need the Caps and LEDS, correct? It's true plug and play?

Just did this swap today...easy install, took maybe 20 minutes total. I purchased the whole mirror assemblies off of a 2008 STi and mounted them to my 2011 Base WRX. Plug/play with the 8-pin connectors, and vastly improves the look of my car. It's always bothered me that the mirrors look incomplete until now. Also, for some reason mine always appeared a shade or two darker of SWP than the rest of my car. The new ones match perfectly!
