Mach v worked on this car too. I found out some stuff from the last owner, but he had no idea what he was talking about with the tune he was a younger guy.

sucks to hear about all the trouble. Did the mechanic you took it to before purchase point any of this out to you? I would point the fingers there for your trouble. Im sure many local shops will be glad to help get the car in good working order.

Now I am out of pocket for $1200 in parts and labor, and since they "don't keep track of customers cars after they leave," the check engine light is on, and nobody there could tell me anything about the car. Even if I gave them the vin they still told me that I would have to bring it up there and then pay more money to see if it is stock map. If it were me, I would rather have turboxs in Maryland or agile tuning is another place I was told about. Either way, please let me know about your experience with them if you go through mach v... I am medically retired from the army, so I would like the feedback to let my other friends in my car club and in my area know what your experience with them is like since you are having factory services done, maybe you will have better luck. Thanks again, and let me know if I can be of any assistance to you as far as repair work and troubleshooting goes.

I'm ambivalent when it comes to Mach V but this is ridiculous. You're here trashing them because the previous owner put one of their stickers on the rear window?

And you're blaming them for issues with your car (which by the way, you didn't do your due diligence on before buying) simply because they might have worked on it at some point in the past before you owned it?

You can't be serious...

You probably figured this out, since you didn't get a response until now, but I don't post to this thread very often. I figure it's reviews of our shop, so it's for our customers to post here, not me. (I advertise other places...)

If you still need that quote, send me a PM.

It's true, we don't keep a database by VIN. But even if we did, I treat our customer records as the property of each customer. Kind of like health care records. If you would like the invoices from some other customer, you'll have to contact that customer for them, or at least have them call me and give me permission to share them with you. We do that all the time. But if you just call up and say, "Give me all the receipts from such and such car," I would not offer those up in the interest of privacy.

Default Mach V

I just picked up my 2006 STI from Mach V which I had them do some repair work and tune for me. This car is a beast which they were able to get 500awhp/461tq. I would put Mach V and there tuning capability up against anyone on the east coast. The whole staff at Mach V is very professional and great communication skills giving me status reports through out the whole process. Thanks again guys for your help and you have earned a customer for life.

Digging up the dead here.
It's what 'they' did BEFORE you bought the car? Mach v doesn't do shoddy work like you're describing. In fact, they wouldn't tune something like you're describing without fixing it first. What you're describing, sounds to me that you got screwed by the seller and he's trying to through a reputable shop under the bus.
If I were you, I'd take it to Mach v and ask them to fix these issues

Just want to say Mach V has been super helpful from the beginning with all of my rookie questions, etc. and developing knowledge of my car. So much valuable information from these guys when it comes to the specifics regarding my car and the parts that are most useful or useless, and more. Patient guys who will make sure you get the right setup. They're not out to sell you anything which is the best part. They just tell you what they know to be best for your car.

Just wanted to write a quick review about Mach V and the tune I got on 8-25-16. To start off with what I had them do, nothing much but an Invidia J-Pipe and a pro-tune to go with it, which feels pretty amazing compared to stock.
After the first time I called them and spoke with Zach, I had made my decision that they were the tuners for me. He answered all my questions and helped me pick the "best" brand of J-Pipe for my car and got my appointment set up. Throughout the whole process of install and dyno-tuning everyone there was nice and super cool about me asking questions of everything.

Just talking with some of the customers in the two different days I was there they had nothing but great things to say about the shop and Dan.
I got to talk with Dan a few times, who always seems to be doing something here or there, but he comes across as a super nice guy and just all around cool dude. When they finished the dyno-tune, Dan sat down with me and went over everything they did and what to look out for, even offered me advice on my next steps in mods and what to do. After a week my car is running stronger than ever and no codes or weirdness at all.

Overall I had an amazing experience with Mach-V and will be back in the future for all my mod work. If you are anywhere even remotely located near them, I'm personally about 1hr 45min away, I would HIGHLY recommend them to you for anything you need.

Once again thanks Dan and all the crew at Mach V, can't wait to come back.
