Default drag slick and wheel combo issues... help?

So i'm spinning too much off the line on good street tires. I've ruled out drag radials as an option.

here's the issues. I was going to run some light 17x7's with motorcycle drag slicks on them but i think my running diameter will be to small. A 26" motorcycle slick mounted on a 7" wide wheel is no longer 26". My existing tire and wheels setup measures 25.4" in running dia. and i'm running through the trap at about 7200-7300 rpm in 4th. If my diameter gets smaller i'll run out of revs and shifting to 5th is not an option.

As far as I know 15" wheels won't fit over the front stock brakes on an 02. I can't find slicks for a 16" wheel that are narrower than 10.5. what are my options for a slick/wheel combo measuring 26"

id say work on your launching b4 you go down this road! plenty of guys can cut good 60fts w/ more power than you on lesser tires... not to mention when you hook, stuff breaks! some wheel spin can be your friend

BTW what does your car run?

example: fp red car, low 1.6s all day....

some 15" wheels do fit but I don't know of anywhere that list them all.

I'm cutting 1.85 60' on street tires. I've been trying all types of methods of clutching and can't get it lower. The car runs 12.1@118!!! I should be in the upper mid 11's. I don't scrub the tires before staging like the guy in the video. I'll try that next.
